This recent trip to South Africa and Botswana was our fourth with Vaya Adventures. Vaya sets a very high bar for their expectations. On every one of our trips Vaya has exceeded even their very high standards. My wife and I (retired and physically fit 77-80yrs old) know that once we are met at the arrival gate of our destinations by the Vaya representatives all our cares are taken care of until our arrival back home. Everything from the exceptional lodgings, guides, drivers and well thought out plans continues to leave us thoroughly impressed with Vaya's services. On each of our trips we have appreciated the time spent with our advisor to develop a plan that specifically matches our personalities and travel goals. We have also been impressed with the quality of the private guide services that Vaya has contracted. A very special recognition for their selection of the boutique hotels in Johannesburg and Cape Town and the safari camps in Botswana. A trip with Vaya has always left us, two ordinary people, feeling very special.

Vaya Adventures created a wonderful itinerary for our desired trip. The accommodations were well chosen and high quality. The excursions were very fun careful attention to detail. From start to finish, we were all cared for!

Our Peru experience with Vaya was everything we could have imagined - a deep dive into the culture, food, and landscape of this magical country, guided by knowledgeable and caring individuals on the ground. We visited Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco (foregoing the Amazon due to lack of time). The accommodations were restful, the food amazing. In our 70's, we weren't sure we would be up to the task of navigating steep ruins at high altitude. But our guides tailored our days to help us get the most out of each experience. We would recommend this tour to anyone!

Our experience with Vaya Adventures was exceptional from the initial planning stages through the completion of our trip. I would especially like to recognize Melissa Marini and Ruth Gonzales for the tremendous job they did planning our travels. Throughout the entire process, we had a myriad of questions regarding our itinerary, accommodations, transportation, activities, and other travel details. Melissa and Ruth consistently responded in a timely, professional, and effective manner and were always incredibly helpful. The trip itself was extremely well organized, and it was clear that considerable thought had gone into creating a smooth and enjoyable experience. I also found the Vaya app to be an excellent resource. Having our itinerary and important information readily available while traveling was extremely convenient and made navigating the trip much easier. Most importantly, we always felt that Vaya was there to support us if we needed anything. That level of service and attention to detail made a significant difference. I would enthusiastically recommend Vaya Adventures to anyone considering travel to South America. When my family returns to South America in the future, I will absolutely use Vaya again and will specifically request to work with Melissa Marini. Vaya put together a wonderful itinerary for us and we loved every minute of our family adventure! The private boat to and hike around Mljet and 6-course dinner at the winery were highlights. Gretchen and team were helpful and responsive at every step along the way. They navigated an unexpected last minute change smoothly and empathetically.

We wanted to take a family trip in Africa on safari. While some people enjoy Capetown and seeing the main cities, we ONLY wanted to see the animals. Dervla did a fabulous job of catering our 2 week vacation to exactly what we were looking for and making sure we only had animal safaris. The places she chose for us to stay were fabulous and the best part is we were hand-held every step of the way. I felt safe and secure , and was never worried we would get lost. We travelled quite a bit while we were there, taking 8 different bush planes and visiting 4 different countries. There was ALWAYS someone with a sign with our name on it to welcome us to a new place, or making sure we made it thru customs. This was a trip of a lifetime that we will always remember. It was custom -designed just for us and was exactly what we were looking for!

We are experienced independent travelers but a trip to the Galapagos requires an agency to help with booking. Vaya listened to what we needed and found us the perfect boat. We had an amazing trip thanks to Vaya's work and support.
