I can honestly say I hate vasa fitness customer support. I tried and failed three times to cancel my membership. They’re support person absolutely refused to do as I asked and cancel and would put my account on “hold” instead. Finally after calling and being hung up on I decided to email instead and in the email I told them I was way beyond upset and they finally finally, had a sensible person cancel my account. I was cancelling because I didn’t use the gym as much as I thought I would and then I moved over an hour from the gym. It took 7 months to get this process over with. Good luck to anyone trying to cancel.

Looks like I'm in plenty of company with this review, all disgusted with these corporate thieves.
I got a membership 3 weeks before the Covid shutdown, but saw what was coming and froze my account like 3 days before THEY shut ALL memberships down.
Well then I still get chardged the "maintenance fee" ....$54!! W. T. F?
When I call Paramount Acceptance, the collection agency (basically) that does the memberships and billing for VASA, I get this aggressively argumentative girl that tells me I'm "still under contract for the fee."
Ooookay..
When I say, "fine. I don't like this, cancel my membership." they tell me i'd suffer a cancellation fee for cancelling before the contractual 3 months. I say, "its been 3 months now."
And this is where it gets interesting.
She tells me that my account was frozen, "so those three months don't count."
But wait... they counted for the fee. And you froze EVERYONE'S accounts 3 days after I put mine on freeze. W
T. F?
It gets better. The girl tells me if I want to cancel, I need to give 30-day notice....in writing at the gym.
Oookay. Now I'm getting annoyed.
So I wait another couple month...to appease the time that "didn't count".
I go in tonight, and they tell me the contractual term is SIX months, and I'd be subject to the cancellation fee!
What are we talking about anyway! I thought this was a "no contract" and "month to month" deal!
Oh, and she can't cancel me anyway! That has to be done ONLINE!
W. T. F! Now I KNOW I'm being jerked around by a corporation that couldn't give a shiz about integrity to its customers. They were all too happy and willing to collect in the middle of a pandemic, and hold my balls to the fire, but not their own.
For that...I say stay far away. Far away.
They're Corporate scumbags, and to be honest, there's much better options. I had no problem finding a replacement.
Now I just want everyone to know what this company is about, from my own experience.

Long story short
Long story short, typical corporate thieves. Froze my account then reopened it with out letting me know and kept billing me while not only the fact I wasn't going because I didn't know it was open bit treated me like complete trash when I saw the bill and called them back to discuss it. Over $120 later to get away from this gym, so they quit billing me and on you a better environment to work out in.

they lied and told customers they
they lied and told customers they wouldn't charge them for membership, after closing and re-opening, until they called in to have it re-activated, then began charging everyone the same price while offering less. they charge an additional month for canceling.

Please stay away from this company as…
Please stay away from this company as far as possible! I went into the gym itself to cancel 2 accounts, and they had told me everything was fine and that the payment I made that month would be the last! Well, it wasn't like that at all! I still got charged the amount and I can't even cancel. Waiting on end for them to call back, they never answer when I call them. I have no idea how to cancel at this point.

Don’t even try to cancel your membership, tried 4 times and still getting charged, they have been charging me twice a month sometimes $21 then 10 days later they charge me again $24 dollars.they have no explanation for that what so ever. My bank refunded every extra penny For 9 months total for extra charges was around $267 dollars. they will find anyway possible to not let you cancel. Customer service never call back. Only way for the lucky ones is to cancel your card. But make sure you have a paper with cancellation from Vasa because they will send you to collection so all you need to do is to Email them the cancellation paper.

I had a closed 24HR fitness member and…
I had a closed 24HR fitness member and when the closed they transferred memberships to VASA fitness. My membership was started up again even though it was cancelled with 24 and I am in Afghanistan. Vasa opened an account in my name and started charging me money. When I realized it they said I couldn’t have a refund because it was in 24hr fitnesses policy. So you are telling me it was in their policy to open closed accounts of deployed soldiers and start charging them money. Vasa is unethical, shady, and immoral. Stay far far away from the money grubbing scammer of a company.
EDIT: After two weeks I was finally refunded my money. I’m still mad an account got created and I got charged without my consent. And that they wouldn’t refund me until I had to escalate the matter. But they did eventually give me my money back. I still think they are shady company.

Beware!
My son has aspergers syndrome and has had a membership with Vasa for a few years but rarely used it because it was way too crowded and he is very shy. In that time he has never missed a payment. He has not used it at all this year and so I took him there to help him cancel his membership and they said they couldn't do it at the counter and that we would have to go back home and take care of it on line. We came back home and the only way it would let us cancel was to pay another yearly membership fee which is not supposed to be due till next month! I then called the number that was on the website and was put on hold for over 2 hours until I finally hung up. What a fraudulent company!!
