VASA gym has a policy of charging a $49.99 fee to guarantee your rates will not rise for one year. They charge this fee every year!! The rate guarantee is just an underhanded way of charging more for their membership. This fee was not explained when we joined and they refused to credit our account for an unwanted and unwarranted charge! We cancelled our membership and suggest everyone go elsewhere.

VASA Unjustified Charges
VASA Unjustified Charges
I have read previous VASA/Aldous & Associates business practice reviews. These issues have a long history.
Recently I received two letters from Aldous & Associates (A&A), that said I was delinquent $439.86. This was unjustified and there was no stratified invoice attached. Just a number.
I made a call to VASA on Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. The manger I spoke with, Jack, said it was something that happened in 2018. I used VASA several times a week since they first opened and this made no sense.
Subsequently I had 5 email conversations with VASA customer services (Kylie) I asked for a stratified invoice on each email. All responses were at best, avoidance.
VASA alleges they called and emailed me (May/Jun). I did not receive. A&A sent me letters by USPS. VASA made a weak attempt and could have done the same before sending to A&A.
Traffic with VASA concluded that I owe them $87.92 + 49.99 = $137.91 for the months May to ? 2020. Again, unjustified with no stratified invoice attached. Just numbers. Also, in disagreement with A&A ($302.95 difference). I was on autopay and VASA told me payment requests were rejected. I don't know why. My bank provides me occasional notifications of questionable transactions, but not rejected transactions.
COVID-19 aggravated VASA closure from Mar to May
Like many I always thought I was on a month-to-month, pay as you go agreement. My last auto pay was in Feb.
I am in a COVID-19 high risk category. I can no longer walk unassisted. My doctor and neurosurgeon have both warned my not to return to my VASA swimming and exercise routine.
My wife and I have not received services from VASA since Feb 2020. We enjoyed this facility from the day they opened. It's a great facility and staff. However, we will not be held accountable for services not received.
VASA tells me A&A has the account. I responded to A&A, by letter telling them the charges were unjustified. NOTE: A&A asks for telephone responses. They do not publish an email customer service. A&A also hides behind a P.O. Box address.
A&A and VASA have past and maybe current class action lawsuits. Both have numerous BBB complaints.
A&A has threatened me with damage to my credit score. I seen this called Systemic Thuggery in other venues.
COVID-19 is impacting many businesses and individuals. We all have competing forces to contend with and add confusion to our daily activities. My competing forces were major surgery and a death in the family.
VASA is not immune to competing forces and confusion. I am not the solution and I will not be held accountable.

DON’T GET INVOLVED WITH VASA
Wish i could give them a 0 star rating. This is absolutely unacceptable. I haven’t been to the gym since March due to covid and i don’t plan on going anytime soon. Throughout all of that time I was still being billed monthly. Froze my account in June hoping that things would be back to normal and they continued to charge me. Then out of no where I receive a charge on my account for over $80 right before my tuition payment is due and now I can’t afford my payments. I called them and was placed on hold for 30 minutes before being told they can’t do anything about it and i can’t get that money back. VASA FITNESS STOLE MY MONEY. I haven’t been there in months yet they’ve been taking my money the entire time. DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH VASA BY ANY MEANS. I am furious, confused, and in debt. F you Vasa

If I could give a zero rating it would…
If I could give a zero rating it would be more appropriate. Good luck ever getting out of the monthly charge. I have tried since March, 2020 but my account is charged the monthly fee. Vasa does not directly handle the financial end of membership but uses Paramount Acceptance. Never give Vasa a debit card. The only way out of the charges is to close a checking account. “Vasa” is Latin for “vessel “ but as far as membership charges are concerned, Vasa is an empty vessel.

Staff of this gym lack the professionalism to handle such a serious problem ethically and neutrally.
The Administration of this VASA fitness located at Cheyenne Shopping Center, Colorado Springs was unable to handle this issue in an ethical, fair, and neutral manner. For over three weeks, the gym staff and other men annoyed me even though I initially spoke to the manager and let him know that if there was a problem, whatever it was, I was willing to take responsibility and work it out. The following is a description of my bad experience in detail.
Two months had passed since I started to enjoy this VASA gym, when a man started hanging around me to get my attention. Sometimes, he asked me if I was using the equipment, other times, he passed near where I was exercising. He always exercised with two friends and on many occasions, he came to exercise around me with them. He always was smiling, chatting with them trying to get my attention.
Finally, one day (around the first week of August), we introduce each other, Eric was his name, so I asked him if he was married to which he answered, "yes and you?" I answered "no", and politely, I told him "I'm sorry, but we cannot be friends due you married".
The next day a nightmare started for me, I saw him talking with his friends and some other persons in the gym, looking at me. He started being close to me with his phone on hands like if he was taking pictures or videos of me. Then, one or two days after these incidents, the gym staff started to watch me all the time, so I asked them if there was a problem with me, so I could solve it, but they said “there is no any problem”. Then I spoke with the gym manager, exposing the problem that the staff were watching me and that I wanted to know what the problem was to solve it in the best way, he told me that there was no problem, but days later, he started to watch me too.
The man with whom I had the problem changes his gym schedule an hour later while one of the gym staff ladies was going to annoy me with another man, this man came close to me throwing his sport bag aggressively on the floor talking to her about me in a loud voice, also this man spoke with other men of me aloud very close to me.. They did this kind of behavior towards me for around three weeks, they sent other men that I had never seen before (I counted more than 10 different men including Eric´s friends during these three weeks), being rude, taking photos or videos of me. All this time, I tried to ignore their bullying to avoid future problems, but I had to be vigilant while exercising for fear that these men would hurt me.
I think the manager knew about all this situation, and I don’t understand , why he was not opened to talk to me first if there was a complaint against me from this man, even though I had initially spoken with him and let him know that if there was a problem, whatever it was, I was willing to take responsibility and work it out. I wonder if because my race.. he did not address this problem in a ethic and fair way.
I am a peaceful, and respectful person with families and the human being, that's why I avoided a friendship with this man when I knew that he was married, who despite being married spent long time catching my attention along with his friends.
After these weeks, I wondered why I would have to continue in a place where I was paying for a service where my safety was at risk.
Girls be very careful! This VASA is not a safe place for women and staff of this gym lack the professionalism to handle such a serious problem ethically and neutrally.

Don't use!
I signed up for a month-to-month membership at this gym BEFORE covid-19 happened. I have not been to this gym since before March 2020. Since then, even considering that they gym had to close down for a long period of time per State law from Covid-19; they keep billing me. They've got a bill up to over $300. I also see a membership on my account called "Team Training" which I did not have before. I went to look and see if they billed me for the months they were closed down. I can't tell, but it looks like it. And I go to pay the bill, so I can be done with them; and to cancel my membership (since apparently somewhere in some sort of document you also can no longer find; it says we have to cancel with 30 days notice in order to stop billing). So, I can't find the rule, which should be cancelled for such a time as a worldwide pandemic. Which is absurd. Every rule book is thrown out the window during this. Nobody wants to go to the gym in a mask unless they are nuts and want to suffocate. The laws have not been fully lifted yet for gyms. So, there is not point in forcing someone to pay a membership they don't want; and puts them at risk of catching a pandemic. A disease that has killed so many people. And then they blocked me so I can cancel the membership. They blocked me so I can't pay the bill. And I'm very angry. This is absurd. They are trying to recoop costs from their ex-clients that they lost during covid by adding fake plans and programs to people's accounts and it's disgusting.

Don't let this happen to you
I just want every one to know that these people are criminals.... they stopped their services during covid-19 and all the sudden started it without letting us know that they were open again and started charging us. My girlfriend and I don't feel comfortable being around people yet especially working out so we tried to cancel the account and in order to do that be both each had to pay one full months payment just to cancel and because of you both lost our job so we couldn't afford that so we decided to freeze the account. Now 2 months ago you could freeze 3 months at a time as long as you call before the three months is over and extend your freeze. So I called today in order to extend my freeze and since then they have added a new policy that you have to pay every time you extend your freeze. In these trying times instead of trying to help their customers they are trying their best to stick it to us and get as much money as they can from us before we leave this crappy company. Now if you show me where I signed a policy that you just added in the last 3 months I would have no problem paying that but you guys are just adding policies to my signature and for that I hope to sue you.
