I am so upset with this company. I paid a full year in advance from 2/2021-2/2022. I called and even made sure my services would be cancelled after my full paid year. The representative advised me things would be cancelled. 4 months later, I am getting a debt collector contacting me for vasa fitness and I owe money. I have tried to speak to vasa and they literally tell me "it's out of my office, I can't help you, call this number...." and I speak to the collector and they tell me the same thing to call vasa. NO ONE IS HELPING ME!!! I did nothing wrong and they are charging me for services I cancelled. Terrible customer service. Absolutely would NOT recommend them WHAT SO EVER.

Although McKenna with customer service was knowledgeable, what she seemed to not know and what is NOT written in the contract is that when you cancel your account, you never really cancel until you cancel EVERY MEMBERSHIP under your name. For example... say you are a family of four - mom, dad, and kids. Mom sets up the account and agrees to pay all memberships with the same bank account. Well eventually mom decides to cancel the account. You would think that when she cancels the account, it would cancel dads and the kids membership as well. NO! THEY STILL CHARGE YOU UNTIL YOUR HUSBAND AND KIDS CANCEL THEIR OWN MEMBERSHIP! Not to mention, when you call to complain, they say there is nothing they can do about it. No where in the contract does it say that once the responsible party cancels, that the account is still liable for charges to EVERYONES MEMBERSHIP. I asked McKenna to send me a copy of the contract so I can take it to an attorney and I have still not received it. Seems like they are aware of what they are doing and do not see an issue.

Thank god for the YMCA, Unfortunately i have to look at the VASA sign every day driving home from work. They are dishonest, make it near impossible to cancel. I had to prepare the paperwork and threaten them with filing a complaint with the attorney general before I was able to finally be rid of them, and that was after paying the fee for 4 months AFTER i oficially cancelled with them. Horrible company, but what do you expect, some of the worst crooks that exist are from Utah.

This place must be hurting for business since they have hidden loop holes to steal from young teenagers. Very sneaky and shady thieves.

It’s a scam!!!! They took over $100 from my little sisters account after the second month….. and a $35 cancellation fee… don’t do it!!!

Dishonest staff and company. I had signed up at the Provo location. I did the mid-level package so I could access all locations. The reason I did that was because I had just moved to Utah and was in a temporary living situation and my job was going to be moving offices from Provo to Orem and the date was uncertain. Within a few days of enrolling my office announced it was moving to Orem the following week and I secured an apartment in Orem. About 10 days after I enrolled I went into this Orem location and stated I wanted to change my membership to the lower single location membership for Orem to be my location. They were going to make me pay a $25 fee to change my membership. I had just signed up a week and a half ago! That is some GREEDY nonsense. As it was I was going to have to pay their $55 required annual fee the next month. Since that was an absurdly stupid policy I told the guy I wanted to cancel my membership completely. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the shady punk that I was dealing with. ATTN MANAGEMENT this guy tried to rip me off. It was the guy working 4/28 at about 5:30pm at the front desk, he had tan skin and short brown hair. I told him I wanted to cancel my membership. I asked him if I would get an email verifying my cancellation. I asked him 3-4 times if everything was cancelled. He said yes every time. As I was driving home I received a WELCOME EMAIL from Vasa. Instead of cancelling my account, he tried some shady business to get himself some commissions. The next day 4/29 I called Vasa Membership Services and spoke to Savanah S (Note: 535040). She verified that crook in Orem did not cancel my account. She cancelled my account. However, she informed me that I had to give one month notice to cancel plus the $25 cancellation fee. The person who set up my account did not tell me that. I asked him very specifically what all is involved with cancelling my membership because I knew my home/work situation was uncertain. He did not tell me about the 1 month notice for cancelling. TO RECAP I CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP WITHIN 10 DAYS AND WAS FORCED TO PAY TWO FULL MONTHS PLUS $25 CANCELLATION. 10 DAYS OF VASA MEMBERSHIP COST ME almost $100. These people are greedy and dishonest. Find another gym option!!

Wish I could give 0 stars, there are so many hidden fees. So shady. There's a sign up fee and a "rate guarantee fee" which is just a BS charge that they literally made up and then a cancellation fee. BE UP FRONT, STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE!!!
