I have tried several bus companies for travel between New York and Washington DC. I find Vamoose is the best. The drivers are extremely responsible, always alert and focused on the drive. No texting, music playing, or phone calling while they are at the wheel. The bus is normally equipped with seat belts and the drivers give a safety briefing before departure. I mention all this because other companies are not nearly as safety conscious. The wifi is nothing you would want to rely on, but when it works, its nice. The seats are comfortable, the bus is clean. The check in is polite and bag handling is also competent. Vamoose employees are consistently polite. Finally, I like that Vamoose has a frequent traveler plan and that they keep track of my trips and reward me without prompting when I am due for a free ticket. Overall you cannot go wrong with Vamoose.

I use Vamoose to go round-trip from NY to Bethesda about once a month. The drivers and service are always top-notch. I have found myself in tough situations and needed to reschedule reservations even close to the departure time, and the customer service department is always incredibly understanding and helpful. Vamoose attracts a great clientele as well - comparably to Amtrak riders. I will caveat that some buses feel more spacious than others, and it can be tough if you want to do something while the person in front of you reclines. Overall, I love this service and would highly recommend it for anyone going from the DC suburbs to NYC.

Price - On par with other bus companies (Bolt, Mega) and can be more expensive if you want more leg room ($60 goldbus) which is often worth it. Service - Buses always arrive on time to pick up and are always at the destination within the time range the driver says. I have never experienced a breakdown with any of their buses so I can assume they are well maintained (unlike the bus companies mentioned above) Standard bus seats are clean but have little leg room. Customer service - Miss your bus? About to miss it? Just call them and they'll reschedule with no hassle. Highly suggest making an online account to earn points towards a free trip. The people who work at the bus stops are also always friendly. I've used many different bus services and I think Vamoose is the best if you want to know exactly what you're getting. Reasonably priced tickets, punctual and clean buses, and great customer service. What more could you want?

the pick-up was outside a COSI Restaurant which allowed us to use the bathroom and the outdoor tables/chairs to wait for the bus. Even though the bus stopped to pick up passengers in Bethesda, MD, which adds to the time, it also made a bathroom/food stop in Delaware at my favorite spot. So, for a bus trip, the experience was wonderful

bus was clean. seats a little bit narrow. Departed slightly late. electric outlets to plug your laptop a big plus. All in all, I would definitively recommend it.

I've been riding the Vamoose Bus for about 6 years, and I love it!!! Just wish there was better wifi... other wise very comfortable and usually straight from point A to B!!!
