Dislikes: 1. Length of the test. 3 iterations 100 each was mind numbing. 2. Technical directions. I've been in IT for many years and am considered tech savy. For this test I had to do it three times as the two previous tests always had some kind of error. Improving the process would be most beneficial. Perhaps step by step instructions that can either be pulled up on a phone or desktop or printed off would be most helpful
Likes: The coloration was fine for me but perhaps someone who is red green color blind might find it more difficult. When I got the 'game' itself to work, it worked very well.

Hi Major,
Thank you for your review! We really appreciate your honest feedback, about the test in particular you were invited to. The majority of our tests do not follow this format and hope you have enjoyed our platform during other testers. We look forward to your participation in future studies.
Best,

The testing process went well however…
The testing process went well however my test results were initially not approved because the status said that my recording was never received. I had to send an email to Userlytics to inquire about it and then was told they made a mistake and it was received. It wasn't a big deal, as it was resolved... but this being my first test, it made me question the legitimacy of Userlytics and whether or not we really get paid for these tests or if there's always a "problem". Just being honest about my initial experience. I did receive my money, so all is fine.

Good and Bad
Their customer service/success team is not out to get you. They are there to help you work through issues you are facing and are generally liberal at rewarding you credits for incompatible users, software and technical hiccups.
While their own interface would benefit from user testing, when it works, you can get some great insights. Speaking to their interface, you'll have to train your own employees on how to use it. Also, I have yet to encounter a customer who has successfully set up their desktop client and gone through a test.

Thank you for sharing your mixed experience with us. We appreciate your positive remarks about our customer service team and their efforts to address issues promptly. We also take note of your feedback regarding our interface and the challenges some users face in setting up the desktop client.
Your insights are valuable, and we are committed to refining our interface and providing better guidance for users. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to enhance our platform.

Legit but unreliable for testers
This is a review of my experience as tester.
Userlytics is a legit company offering UX tests to testers from around the world. In fact, this is the only site that got me a test on the same day I registered.
POSITIVE
-- Unlike most usability tests companies, they don't require an entry test.
-- They don't ask for too many personal details when you join. That is, they don't profile you as hardly as other companies do.
-- You can cancel your account any time on your own if you aren't happy with the opportunities they offer.
-- They have a nice simple app recorder for Android. You don't even have to login, because, when you get an invitation, there is a unique code with your details that you click in and log you in. Their desktop recorder is easy to use, very intuitive, and also works by code.
-- They do send you tests, and they pay for them.
-- Customer support is existent for tester and works relatively fast.
NOT SO GOOD
-- Not as many tests come to their alley as go to other allies.
-- The fact that they don't make you do an entry test tells me that their panel of testers is way inferior to any other company's panel.
-- If their recording program malfunctions, the resulting test will be unusable and you won't be paid.
-- Both their Android and Desktop recorders are sub-par, full of bugs, unreliable.
-- Customer support is really mechanic and unnerving.
-- You cannot update your PayPal email yourself, you have to contact CS and share different details by email. That is not secure, like the ABC of not putting your personal info on jeopardy. They couldn't find my file, once because I wrote from another email, which is understandable, but also when I wrote from my correct registered email.
IN SHORT
The company line is "The most advanced user testing platform". Having been a tester for them and for many other UX companies, the tagline sounds like bragging.
However, they are a legit company, so you don't have anything to fear. They do send tests and they pay for them. Their CS is not very helpful, and their recorders are bugy and unreliable, and do not benefit testers.
