I bought the Budget package (2 logo concepts and 2 revision cycles). Before I purchased, I specifically asked the chat agent on the website if I could be refunded if I wasn't happy with the designs. He explained that of course I'd be fully refunded if I was unhappy with the designs. When I received my 2 logo concepts, I gave revisions clearly stating what I wanted with several "inspiration" photos for the designers to use including hand-drawn ideas. Then I received a phone call from the company stating I didn't have any revisions to use. Not what the package said on their website, but whatever, I'll just get my refund. Then when I asked for the refund, the chat agent told me I couldn't be refunded because I uploaded revisions.... Total B.S. Total scam. Don't waste your money.

I thought this would be a great way to get a custom logo without breaking the bank for my startup idea. I decided to try them out with a basic package to see how I liked it before returning to purchase a larger package. My designer has been slow, taking longer than their stated 24 hour turn around time, and he does not read everything I take the time to write (you cannot TALK to your designer, only email). I even take the time to number all of my edit requests and tell him in the email, "there are 5 things to edit" so he can count and make sure they're done. But, he doesn't. So, then I have to ask him to go back and fix the logo, but he is SLOW. So, what should have taken maybe 4-5 days takes MUCH longer. When I chat or call customer service for resolution, their customer service agents do not care. They say we will get to it when we get to it. They don't even apologize. I would rather have spent $500 to work with a design firm I could talk to, to one who listens and understands, and who pays attention. Not to mention, one that cared about their customer's experience. It was a waste of money and time. UPDATE: 7/20 Shortly after posting this review, I spoke to 2 different people at their corporate office. One was my design account rep (Nick) and the other a customer service person (Sam, I think?). My design account rep was flat out rude to me on the phone, arguing with me about my requests. For instance, we've been asking for a dog that looks as if it's propping up on a bar counter behind a beermug. They have continually portrayed the dog as seated. For the last 3 revision cycles, I had been asking for this to be fixed. On the phone Nick said,"What you're asking for is wrong because this is EXACTLY what it looks like when a dog is sitting down." I, of course, was taken aback by his tone. But, I said, "Yes, it is. I'm not saying that. But, if you'd read any of my revisions you'd see I keep asking for a dog that is NOT sitting." The second person I talked to, Sam I think, said he didn't understand any of my complaints and wanted me to explain them again. So I did, and I added that my account rep was rude to me on the phone. He never apologized, but instead said he expected I would go back online and change my review to a positive one when I received my finished logo. I asked him why he thought I should change my review? He said, well you're getting the finished product and your experience isn't typical of the rest of our clients and it makes us look bad. I couldn't believe the audacity of that request. I explained that was how reviews worked- those with positive experiences wrote positive ones and people, like me, who has negative experiences would write negative ones. I will not be bullied by a company into a positive review- but, I do change reviews when companies go back and try to make it right. So, to the person who they have outsourced to write this very sympathetic reply, perhaps they should employ you to work in customer service so they don't offend their customers in the first place.

I truly loved the design that uptown logo has created for me and my business I couldn't have asked for a better logo for my business and the turn around time was excellent they truly captured my vision in the logo thank you uptown logo from a part of our family home care agency llc

Lucas Frater was super helpful with explaining the copyrights process to me as I was really confused with this logo design process as a whole. The design team works fast (within a day) to give me different options based off of the requests I had made, and I had a lot of revision requests. My logo is unique and I am very pleased with the design and the assistance I received the whole way.

I have been working with Nick Walters at Uptown and he is very attentive and responsive. This is my first time using these guys and I am frustrated that I didn't find them sooner. I used 99designs in the past and that was a nightmare. I will be back to use Uptown again. Like most online vendors you have to stay on top of things and get everything in writing. Communication is key. Thank you to Nick and the rest of the team, you really did do a great job!
