Unreal cr@p. Like other reviewers wrote - service disconnects every time on renewal even though I have auto pay. And every year it is 11 month out of 12 month plan! The phone service is ok , but nowadays its all about internet. And the internet connection is not good. I switched all lines I could to different providers. Customer service is on the level - you get what you pay for. And even though it exists. It is very hard for me to understand their english and takes forever to resolve questions. Website is a joke . I do not know how anyone with such website can make money. Would give 2.5 stars.

Great service and coverage

I've been using MVNOs since 2011, starting with Virgin Mobile. I later switched to Google Fi, and then switched to Unreal because Google Fi was a bit much with a family plan with my parents between my mom's international calling and dad's internet use, especially when traveling. My parents international calling is covered, as is their internet use, so this is a much better deal for our family. Unreal has the best rates I've seen in that time, but also offers the fewest customer service hours despite only having text and email available - you'd think they'd be able to get more hours with no talking on the phone required. The lack of CS that you can call and talk to is a frustration for some people, but I typically like it as it means it's usually a bit faster and typically comes with longer availability - not at Unreal. I've had Unreal for over a year now. I got a strange text from Unreal around 8:45 AM - just a few numbers like a pin code with no additional information or anything. After getting this message, my service stopped. I live on the East Coast, they work on PST and aren't open until 11:00 AM EST. At 11:00 AM, I reached out to customer service and the first person I chatted with said they would escalate something and then attempted to reset some things and said to restart my phone. I restarted my phone - still no service. I chatted a new rep and they said that the other person had already escalated and that I would get responses via email. It's been six hours - I've been restarting randomly since I wasn't at home and didn't have a way to check my email due to a lack of service - 6 hours later and it's still not fixed, so I reached out again. This person gave me a little more info - I had gotten some strange emails at the time from Unreal as well. As far as I understand, there was an unauthorized attempt to remove my phone number from my account. This went through and when I was able to report it, it was escalated to the fraud team to review. Fraud team investigation takes 24 - 48 hours. I will get an email when they figure it out - no word on whether I will be reimbursed for what I have already spent (as it's a prepaid plan and I have already paid for 3 months) but am currently unable to use my phone and phone number - possibly for 2 days. I think they need to up their security if someone who isn't me can just remove my phone number from my account. And truly, their customer service hours should be substantially longer. Their Live Chat support agents are available between the hours of 8AM to 5PM PST - when I had Virgin Mobile, it was like 7AM to midnight PST and Google Fi was 24/7 available. They weren't charging substantially more than Unreal either - Google Fi basic plan is $20/month for unlimited texting/talking and then an additional $10/GB used, so if you keep your phone mostly on WiFi and don't use data as much, it's not exactly a huge difference with an Unreal plan

Not sure haven't used the website that much ask me again in the future

the actual phone service is good but it's very frustrating how limited options are. there is no monthly plan if that happens to be better for you. you get even a 1 week extension if the renewal date happens to line up with a rough time or between paychecks. for a service marketed toward lower income/less financially stable consumers, you'd think they'd have more options for those folks

patience of customer service. im not easy sometimes but they stayed with me until it was complete. thank you.

I simply wanted to renew my annual subscription and did not find directions to do that. the assistance of the talk aide was a great help and she corrected my failures. it took 2 days to rectify my errors and restore my subscription.Clear instructions are needed. Carol

I've always had great service, no downtime, no problems.
