Absolutely horrendous customer service. They do not even try to understand your issue, only robotically state whatever script they have in front of them. You better know exactly what you're doing when you buy their product using a $25 credit because if you have to return even a portion of the order, it's gone forever.

This company is a hot mess. I have wanted to, or actually tried to, order a couple dozen items over the course of at least two years, but 1) what I want is sold out in my size and never restocked; 2) discounts promised are never applied in the cart or checkout; 3) they take so long to get around to answering my question about a product that I lose interest; or 4) they send me discount codes printed on their catalogs that never work. They seem to care so little for their customers that I have to wonder how they're still in business. And the clothing, styles that mostly make me scratch my head and think "Ewww...really??", is offered in an unrelenting overuse of rayon, rayon, rayon, one of the most disgusting fabrics in the history of fashion. Their "customer service" (and I use that term loosely) is going the way that so many companies are going, with chat bots that never have a real answer (or no chat at all--most of the time it's nonfunctional) and canned, computer-generated responses to e-mails. I don't trust companies that are afraid to talk directly to their potential customers!! I don't know why I keep going to the website after all this time and looking for something to buy, but today will be the last.

Universal Standard claims my package was delivered, but it was not. There is no problem with stolen packages on my street, and I'm home all day with a dog who barks whenever someone approaches the house. I was excited to find a vendor who seemed to be size-inclusive, but this seems like just another scam company advertising on Facebook. I should have known better. For some reason, I was smart enough to buy the non-delivery insurance. We'll see if I really get a refund or if this is the actual profit center for the company.

Just watch out for "final sale" items. I inadvertently ordered from a final sale/warehouse sale and am stuck with a bizarre dress that seems to be twice my normal size. they won't take it back, so I guess it's going to Goodwill. And I'm done with Universal Standard. I really do understand "final sale," but come on. The sizing is completely insane on this dress. No "fit liberty" in final sales.

I ordered 2 mystery boxes on feb 15. I was told (after I placed the order on the confirmation page) that it may take up to 4 weeks for mystery boxes. I waited. I email a couple of times to see where we were in the process. I got what appeared to be robo anwsers of "oh the response was so great it is taking a little longer". They shipped out a "i am sorry box" containing a tiny laundry soap, a mesh bag and a mask. The time to ship these silly sorry boxes should have been used to ship what we ordered UNLESS there is a supply issue going on. This seems to be the typical scam of let me sell something now and collect the money and when i can fill the order I will ship it. I still have not rec'd my boxes and it has now been 5 1/2 weeks. I previously ordered often from US. The stuff is pricey but I saved and bought the basics as I could ( the trench, a few dresses, tees of course and a few outfits at Christmas) I feel I have been had by this deal and now wonder what will be in the boxes, if they are going to be filling them with just whatever they can to get them out. I do not feel they have been transparent with what the issue really is. I will not be shopping with US anymore. UPDATE: I did finally receive my boxes and they were excellent. No "filler" tshirts or lower end items.

I purchased a $75 mystery box and I decided to take a chance on it because they ask you for your preferences. I chose bright colors, short sleeves, casual type clothes. What did I get? A black long sleeve dress, a Black long sleeve mesh piece to put over that dress and then I got a white Bando top. I was pretty mad because one of the questions they ask you is do you wear dresses or do you prefer a more casual and I selected more casual. So this basically tells me they don’t care what your preferences are they are just gonna get rid of anything that they have. Sent an email to customer service saying I was disappointed and they said oh we’re very sorry to hear that we will pass on your Input. If I thought they were just going to send me anything I would’ve never spent $75 but I thought it was going to be based on my preferences and it clearly was not. Buyer beware

I've purchased many many items from Universal Standard. I can't say enough good things about them. I spent most of my adult life looking for minimalist plus size fashion, only to be met with garish prints and frilly, unfashionable nonsense. US uses high quality materials to create well made shirts, skirts, and pants. If you take care of the pieces - as in, follow the care instructions on the label, they'll look good as new a year later. I've also had to return items for sizing issues, and have had absolutely no trouble with returns.

I’m conflicted! I ordered 2 mystery boxes and it took over a month for it to be delivered even though customer service promised an earlier delivery throughout the process. I bought a luxe box and a surprise box. There was absolutely nothing luxe in the luxe box. It contained 5 low priced items to hit the minimum value. The surprise box did have one higher priced item (a trench coat). Everything is made superbly but the shipping delays, the lies from customer service about the shipping delays and the stuffing of a “luxe” box with items like t shirts and t shirt dresses all lead to my review. That being said I would be willing to give them another chance in the future.
