MORE & DECEPTION FROM UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE'S REBUTTAL TO MY REVIEW... "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE: I'd like to share some insights into what happened with this move. Initially, you signed the contract and paid the deposit on July 28th, with the move scheduled for August 14th/15th. At that time, we had estimated 543 cubic feet for 14 items and 56 pieces" BARBARA CAMPBELL: *IT WAS A VERBAL ESTIMATE OF BELONGINGS TO GET US UNDER CONTRACT. WE WERE TOLD NO PROBLEM HAVING TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS.SHOULD HAVE NEVER USED A COMPANY WHO DOESNT DO AN ON-SITE OR VIDEO ESTIMATE* "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE: We provided a binding not-to-exceed guarantee. However, on August 10th, you added more items, totaling 30 items and 78 pieces, which increased the cubic feet to 806. Due to these additions, there were additional charges, but these charges were a result of the extra items added after the initial inventory." BARBARA CAMPBELL: *TOTALY UNDERSTOOD, MORE INVENTORY, INCREASE IN ESTIMATE, NEVER AN ISSUE.* "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE: On the day of the move, there was an issue as only the driver arrived initially, and the other crew members were late" BARBARA CAMPBELL: *THERE WAS NO OTHER CREW THE DAY OF FIRST DELIVERY. (THE DAY OF THE MOVE WAS NO PROBLEM). THE DELIVERY DRIVER "FRED" SAID EVERYONE HAD BAILED EXCEPT A GUY ATTEMPTING TO RIDE HIS BIKE 20 MILES AWAY TO GET TO OUR HOUSE. "FRED"/driver TOLD HIM NOT TO BOTHER...MY HUSBAND EVEN OFFERED TO PICK HIM UP** "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE: To avoid further delays, the driver started unloading by himself, and your husband also pitched in." BARBARA CAMPBELL: *TOTALLY UNTRUE...."FRED" SAID HE WAS TOO TIRED AND WAS A FREIGHT DRIVER NOT A DELIVERY UNLOAD DRIVER. FRED NEVER LIFTED A FINGER UNTIL MY HUSBAND SAID THAT HE'D UNLOAD." "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE:Due to this inconvenience, we offered a $500 partial refund as compensation. We then asked you to sign a nondisclosure form, I not as hush money, but to ensure that any compensation offered wouldn't lead to negative online reviews." BARBARA CAMPBELL: *IT WAS A LEGAL "SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT" CLEARLY STATING IF SIGNED, WE OR NO ONE ON OUR BEHALF COULD WRITE A NEGATIVE REVIEW OR MAKE A CLAIM AGAINST PRINCZ. IF THAT'S NOT HUSH MONEY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. IF IT TRULY WAS A REFUND, WHY HAVEN'T WE RECEIVED IT??* "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING &STORAGE: While discussing the refund and your belongings en route, there was a severe accident that totaled the truck carrying your furniture and items, along with items from two other families. You saw the accident photos but continued to doubt its authenticity. BARBARA CAMPBELL: *AGAIN NOT TRUE! WE WERE TOLD ON SEPT 3 THE TRUCK HAD MECHANICAL ISSUES, WHEN IN FACT THE ACCIDENT WAS SEPT 2nd. WE WERE NOT TOLD UNTIL SEPT 5 THAT YHERE HAD BEEN AN ACCIDENT & THE TRUCK AND CARGO WAS TOTALLED. OF COURSE ONCE WE SAW PHOTOS WE BELIEVED IT. BUT NEITHER UAMS or PRINCZ WOULD PROVIDE THE PHOTOS. WE HAVEN'T RECEIVED ONE PHONE CALL FROM EITHER SINCE THE ACCIDENT. "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE: You made threats about negative reviews if we didn't provide immediate access to your furniture, which was beyond our control as it involved different companies and a tow yard. Throughout this process, we tried to keep you updated and resolve the situation." BARBARA CAMPBELL: *YOU BET I DID! YOU DIDNT UPDATE US ONCE!!! WE DROVE SIX HOURS TO THE TOW COMPAMY ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT UNTIL THE TOWING BILL WAS PAID IT WOULD REMAIN PROPERTY OF THE TOWING COMPANY....NIETHER UAMS nor PRINCZ HAS MADE AN EFFORT TO HELP IN THAT REGARD * "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE: In the transportation business, accidents can happen, and we stood by you from the beginning to the end. We maintained contact via phone and email, attempting to address issues promptly. Our moving carrier, who has a good track record, experienced their first total truck accident in three years. Your increased costs were primarily due to the additional items added to the move." BARBARA CAMPBELL: ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE *I HAVE NEVER SAID A THING ABOUT THE $12000 WE WERE CHARGED. OTHER THAN WE FELT THAT THE $2000+ WE PAID UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE (AGENT FEE) WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY FOR WHATEVER SERVICE THAT PROVIDED. "UNITED AMERICAN MOVING & STORAGE:We have done our best to assist you, but we have encountered difficulties due to the adversarial nature of our interactions. We offered compensation, improved insurance rates, and solutions, but it seems every offer has been met with rejection." BARBARA CAMPBELL : IF THIS IS YOUR BEST, THERE IN LIES THE PROBLEM. OUR STUFF SITS & ROTS IN A TRAILER IN WELLS NV. NO ONE HAS ADDRESSED THE $21K TOWING BILL. UNTIL PAID IT IS THE PROPERTY OF THE TOWING CO Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
