I've never experienced such poor customer service in my entire life. We purchased tickets based on a misleading information and not a single member or staff could clarity if it were true or not. We have had no choice but to cancel our flights and request a full refund after staff apologies and trying to offer us 100$ for the deceit. A complete joke, no customer service. no support. We spoke to one redeeming staff member the entire experience. We have now had to just book with a company which could give us clear answers and back it up. I would avoid this company at all costs, i would laugh but they still have our money! BE CAREFUL.

Un vol San Francisco-Honolulu qui fait demi tour après 2heures de vol. Un hublot défectueux. Vers 23h on nous annoncent que n’ayant pas de pilote, nous devrons attendre jusqu’à 10 du matin pour avoir un vol. On nous laisse de nuit dans un aéroport fermé. Donc rien à manger et à boire. On nous faut l’aumône d’une bouteille d’eau et de sachet de crackers et autres biscuits. Il y avait des enfants en bas âge. C’est inadmissible. De ce fait nous avons payé 2 chambres d’hôtel une nuit où nous nous étions pas là. Vol de retour: après plusieurs retards on nous annonce que l’avion que nous devons prendre est défectueux et on nous change d’avion. On s’est demandé si on allait finalement réussir à atteindre San Francisco. Et en 6 heures de vol un peu à boire et un sachet de 12 g de bretzels. Si nous voulons autre chose il faut payer avec la carte de United. Scandaleux. C’est pitoyable. Françoise Schafer

They are a horrible customer service and airline. I was flying back home from Hawaii, this was about 2 weeks ago. A few hours before my flight, they send me a text that they had to push my flight back because of a plane issue. Then they push it again for some other dumb reason. I had no other ride besides my cousin, so I had to be at the airport 6+ hours before my flight. There was absolutely no rep in any of the terminals of United to help me out. I had to contact customer service, via call and chat and finally roaming around the airport to try and get some form of compensation for all this hassle. Which also meant I lost my ride home because of such a delay and it was during the week, had to pay for an expensive uber. When I finally got someone who could possibly help, they tell me I had to wait to submit for compensation after I arrive. I did it next day and took them 3 days to give me $75. When the transportation department states I can get 3x what my one way was. They are cheap and rude for being one of the biggest airlines in the world

Horrendous customer service - I’ve been battling with this airline since we returned from a trip after the new year. Because of United Airlines we missed a connecting flight and we’re stuck in LA for 2 nights they said they had booked us on to numerous flights following this but never confirmed any bookings so every time we were denied access and tole we were not booked on to the flight. We ended up having to book and pay for additional flights as they said they were all fully booked to our final destination and they couldn’t look at other ways to get us there. We arrived two days late and were travelling with an 18month old and 6 year old. They’ve failed to reimburse me for a hotel, additional visas and flights. They responded and said they would give me vouchers but will not just give me the money refund I do not want vouchers I want it as a refund. At my wits end with them, have honestly never experienced such horrendous service.

The worst long haul operator I have had the misfortune of using. Leagues behind their competitors. Steer well clear If it’s comfort and service you’re looking for.

Meine Partnerin und ich haben einen Flug über United Airlines gebucht, der Flug war ein Co-Chair mit Lufthansa. Am Tag vor dem Flug haben wir online eingecheckt und am Tag des Fluges waren wir 2 Stunden vorher am Flughafen. Allerdings sagte uns Lufthansa, dass meine Partnerin nicht auf der Passagierliste sei, unter ihrer Buchungsnummer sei ein anderer Fluggast gelistet. Anstatt uns zu helfen, hat Lufthansa uns aufgefordert United Airlines auf unsere eigenen Kosten auf deren US Hotline anzurufen. United bestätigte uns dann telefonisch, dass mit dem Ticket alles in Ordnung sei, der Lufthansa Mitarbeiter hingegen weigerte sich mit dem United Mitarbeiter am Telefon zu sprechen oder das Problem anderweitig zu lösen. Erst nach zwei Stunden deutlichem Drängen war Lufthansa bereit sich zu kümmern. Wir haben unseren Flug nur bekommen, weil er Verspätung hatte. In der Zwischenzeit haben wir das Gepäck, das auf das Ticket meiner Partnerin gebucht war, auf eigene Kosten auf mein Ticket gebucht. Obendrein kam es auch noch 3 Tage zu spät an. Die Kosten dafür haben wir bis heute nicht erstattet bekommen. Obwohl wir United das Problem sofort nach dem Flug angezeigt haben, hatten wir auf dem Rückflug exakt das gleiche Problem. Der United Mitarbeiter hat sogar gelacht und uns gesagt wir können das nächste Mal ja mit einer anderen Fluggesellschaft fliegen. Kundenservice = 0, wir wurden behandelt wie Bittsteller.

Why I continue flying with this airline is a complete mystery to me. Terrible service on the ground, and in the air always always.

I will never ever fly with these thieves again. They took my money, gave nothing back and will now re sell my seats. Even one star is too many.
