Never trust Ubiquiti. I've spent thousands on access points, cameras, and networking gear over the years. They've promised features that never arrived, failed to address key gaps in their systems, and most recently they're trying harder than ever to lock you into their ecosystem by actively removing interoperability features. The most recent problem I've had that's completely killed the brand for me is they RETROACTIVELY removed the ability to access RTSP streams from the cameras, so unless you use their NVR, the cameras are basically useless. Never mind that their NVR solution has no effective way to automate backups of the footage, so if there's a theft of the NVR or failure, you're on your own! Find a better brand.

Having a UDM (Unify dream machine) everything should be a plug n play, it might be as long as you do not play around with the setting and adding Wifi, protect talk etc. This incident is about Protect, a camera setup which has more issues than Murphy could even participate. The first setup went ok, but then: Theres no backup. Yes one can save recordings on the UDM (if one installs a harddrive) Recordings nice and easy, motion sensors - but export isn’t an option. One can choose up to 30 event and save one by one.. So when asking Unify about this: “ Ohh thanks for getting in touch, we will forward this to development..” Right, knock knock What is theres a fire or burglary - if they steal the UDM, then there isn’t any evidence - That is simply not good enough. On the community this has been an issue for years. But its possible to save records via RTSP Synology NAS, if one correct the port no. Then Protect has (should have) the ability to show live cameras and recordings, but no: The msg: Setup console came up constantly. On UI community this is also a big issue. After setting up the UDM console several times*, its turns out that the Camera is the console, after reset of these cams (up the ladder, dismantle hard reset on each and every one) then cams can be shown in the protect app. The UDM is also crazy setting up when having a PPOE, It insist in having a username and password. Well mine do not - ohh then setup offline, yea right, then you cant access from outside network, så up the hole network setup with old and other routers, in order to get sh** online. This UNIFY has been very demanding, and one should really consider and other setup, who have all the features from start.

Prima Afgelopen 1.5 jaar al meerdere producten rechtstreeks bij UI besteld. Tot op heden goed verlopen. Het is jammer dat UI niet alles kan leveren door het chiptekort, sommige producten zijn maanden niet beschikbaar om begrijpelijke redenen. Jammer dat UI voor UPS kiest voor de verzending, ik zie liever een meer betrouwbare partij die de verpakking heel laat.

They cant even solve their own products flaws. They dont know what to do about extremely bad wifi experience, and they absolutely dont care about it either. Dont bother buying their products, because you are left to yourself with it

Ho acquistato tre access point (UAP AC Lite) per uso domestico e le performance sono eccellenti, non ho mai dovuto riavviare nulla e i dispositivi si connettono immediatamente all'access point più vicino. Rispetto ai classici prodotti per uso domestico non ci sono paragoni. Avevo provato tutte le marche più famose e regolarmente dovevo riavviare gli access point perché perdevo la connessione; inoltre i dispositivi non si collegavano in automatico all'access point più vicino. La nota negativa riguarda il fatto che tutti e tre gli access point emettono un fastidioso rumore quando sono in uso (ad esempio durante uno speed test). Il problema è stato segnalato da molti utenti, ma l'azienda non ha fatto nulla per risolverlo (propongono una sostituzione, ma risulta inutile perché quasi tutti i dispositivi hanno il problema). Considerate che per utilizzo in ambienti rumorosi non ci sono problemi. Altro aspetto migliorabile è il software del sistema di controllo, che da quando è passato a una nova interfaccia ha alcuni problemi da molto tempo e mancano delle funzionalità (si può usare la vecchia interfaccia comunque).

Jeg er vild med deres UniFi produkter. Man er nervøs for at det bliver komplekst, men det er ikke mere komplekst end man selv gør det til. Jeg har desuden bestilt over flere gange fra deres webshop og det spiller også bare. Typisk afsendes varen inden for 24 timer med UPS og kommer fra tjekkiet på 3-4 dage. Der er desuden noget at spare ift. de danske butikker.
