USW Aggregation: Hardware Problems and Poor Technical Support My USW Aggregation has experienced blocked ports and unstable connections. Despite extensive troubleshooting, I've had to take the switch out of production. I've submitted proof of purchase for my RMA, but the support process has been frustrating and prolonged. I expect better communication and warranty service from a company selling professional networking equipment. Hardware failures happen. It's how a manufacturer responds that determines whether I'll continue buying its products.

Two Ubiquiti cameras were installed on my home. One week later, one of the cameras stopped working. The original installer did an extremely shoddy job. I am not pleased with the end result. The entire process was a complete nightmare and did not end well. The installer did not explain how the Ubiquiti company is operated (i.e. no direct end user support). It was only after the cameras were installed that I learned the installer is my only source of “support.” I do not feel comfortable continuing to work with this individual. Ubiquiti should provide assistance to the end user in these types of situations.

Horrible company. Spent $1,000 and one of the mesh units would not power up and they charged me to send it back.

I have 7 cameras and a server running. I have contact ui for a new camera that is compatible with their software. No response. cowboy operation. Not worth purchasing their equipment.

Very disappointed

Just upgraded my residential network to all UniFi gear. Gateway, APs, NVR, and couple of cameras. My WiFi is amazingly reliable. I'm very satisfied with the camera quality and app experience. And they have a decent release schedule with pretty quick turnarounds for issues. Sure, they aren't perfect, but they have demonstrated that they actually care about UX and making quality products. This is far better than anything I've ever had previously over the years. I know I might not be a power users, and I've seen issues on the community pages for releases. But I would recommend their gear for most prosumer type folks who want to tinker and get their hands dirty. Especially to those looking to move beyond TP Link or their fiber/cable providers out of the box solutions. Especially if you are concerned with tracking and privacy.
