I ordered 2 pairs of shoes and paid for the letter of medical necessity from Truemed. They took the money from my FSA and I thought it was all good. But then I learned that American Fidelity does not accept FSAs from Truemed. So I had to pay the money back to my FSA. Make sure your FSA accepts Truemeds letters of medical necessities before you order.

Hi Rebecca. Thank you for taking the time to share this, and we're sorry for the frustration it caused. Having your FSA funds pulled back after you thought everything was settled is exactly the kind of experience we never want our customers to have. Some FSA and HSA administrators apply different rules about what qualifies as eligible and which Letters of Medical Necessity they'll accept, and that isn't always clear up front. We're actively working to improve the administrator approval process across the board so this gets caught before you pay rather than after. We genuinely appreciate the honest feedback. It helps us build a better experience. The Truemed Team.
