TrueLink is an excellent service with infrequent frustrations. My family has been involved with TrueLink since 2019 -before which we floundered through a number of other commercial or banking options that ultimately did not provide monetary freedom with well-defined parameters that my son needed. TrueLink provides those services and thus, over the last 3 years, my son has developed greater responsibility and oversight of his spending choices. I would suggest that more explanation is given in advance to the administrator about how the different cards are designed for specific objectives. All legal information about each type of pre-paid card is readily available online. However, the advantages (and disadvantages) for reaching certain objectves is not obvious from the legalese; providing that information would be helpful for an administrator to choose an appropriate card. TrueLink also administers the Maryland ABLE prepaid card program which I have used for about a year. Works well within the parameters of the ABLE program. TrueLink offers an investment program which I have not yet explored.

This is by far the easiest financial service to deal with which makes being a Representative Payee much less worrisome. It's a big deal to handle someone else's money. When you have a real PARTNER in that responsibility, someone who does their absolute best every single time assistance is needed for various personal needs of beneficiaries; that takes a good bit of stress out of the situation. I have absolutely NO negative feedback as every experience I've had with True Link has been professional, positive and courteous. If every business was as a pleasure to work with, there would be much happier people running around this world.

As a trustee for a special needs trust, this is an excellent way to maintain appropriate controls on the trust while providing some autonomy to the user at a very reasonable monthly fee.
