I am a Court appointed Guardian for a high functioning individual who lives in the community. In the past, he had a credit card that he used to purchase his necessaries. However, he was always signing up for extended warranty plans that I had to get him out of. True Link solved that problem by limiting the categories he is allowed to spend money on. The money transfer from my guardianship account to the True Link card is seamless, although I have to allow a few days for the transfer to take place. I highly recommend True Link to any Guardian/Trustee of a person living in the community. The customer service department is top notch. Whether you are getting your account set up for the first time, or have lost access to your account, they respond in a timely manner and are extremely helpful.

I am a trustee for my disabled sister... And prior to learning of True Link, there were a myriad of phone calls and bills sent and requests for payment... between me and my accounting firm...several a month.. She has had a hard time managing her own finances for most of her life... When Mom was alive she handled it...Now I am in charge, and I am just her sister...BUT this True Link financial service gives me the chance to let her choose, to a point, what she can spend on; I can eliminate places for her to shop or spend when I know that they may be harmful for her, or that she could be solicited or scammed... and it gives me, her sister and trustee, the feeling of being a bit in control of her finances, so much more than before... She still can buy groceries and take a friend to lunch or mail things at the post office or buy clothing....BUT all within limits that I can dictate online...Very safe so far and she has some autonomy this way and she seems to really like that... A great way to handle the finances for a dependent sibling from afar !!!

I work for the Public Guardian's Office, and we are the rep payee for an individual. Her funds are transferred to a True Link debit card. She has been in the hospital unable to use her card and money was building up. I needed to have funds transferred off her card back to her estate account held by our office. I was unsure how to do this, as I personally am new to using True Link, so I phoned True Link. The call was answered by a live person following a short wait on hold. I spoke with a rep named Cooper. I explained the situation and he was eager to help and patient with me as he instructed me on the steps I needed to take to initiate this transaction which allowed him to complete it on his end and he did this without making me feel like an idiot for not knowing what to do. I then told him that I wanted to suspend future transfers to her card until she is released from the hospital, and he advised that the simplest thing to do is deactivate the card instead of suspending transfers and he took care of that for me as well and told me how to reactivate the card when needed. I really appreciated the time he spent and how friendly he was throughout or conversation. After my phone call ended, I received a follow-up email confirming the actions that were completed. Cooper was a breath of fresh air! Thank you, Cooper. :)

First of all please always ask for the name of the kind caring empathetic representative willing to calmly assist you with your needs and concerns. Kayden has all of these attributes and qualities. She took ample time with me and reassured me that everything I needed has been addressed. Then Kayden offered me to feel free to call always with additional concerns. Truelink is so very unique in the services they provide. Never anywhere else does this exist where an administrator has the power to control how the cardholder utilizes the card. I am thrilled with this system. Are you?
