I love everything about it..except the monthly fee.

Our daughter has had the True Link card since March 2025. It does make most spending issues easier to deal with, gives her more autonomy, and reduces stress on parent and child. However, there is a learning curve for both administrator and cardholder. If the cardholder has online accounts they have to be linked to True Link. If the cardholder should not have cash, there are ways to get it through True Link. The card doesn't work everywhere, and pending charges can mess up a day's spending limits when they're finally posted. Funding days and times can be complicated, especially if different time zones are involved. On the plus side, the administrator support is very good. I recommend the True Link debit card highly with the caveat that the administrator still needs to be vigilant.

So far so good! I opened an account with TrueLink to help my aging father with his finances. After an initial hiccup with the first payment transfer, the service is working as expected. Customer service has been incredible for both my father (cardholder) and myself (account owner). TrueLink is the real deal.

I did learn some additional new things I didn't know but had questions

The trueLink system makes it easy to provide trust funds. My only complaint is that I cannot download transaction data into Quicken. This means I need to download a pdf and then manually enter each transaction. This is a terrific waste of my time.

I liked everything about true link except the length of time it take for a deposit to register after sending to the card. 1to 5 days is not reasonable for our loved one. It needs to be more immediate.

Great platform with broad customization. Intuitive app and web page. Changes are applied immediately to profile. After inital funding is verified, deposits are smooth and timely. Customer service has been great. Reports are handy. We have now been using the card for exactly a year. My biggest complaint is that an in-house savings account is not available and transfers out to a linked account cannot be made independent of truelink administrators. As my daughter has become more independent, we have needed the ability to pay rent and other services that cannot be linked yo the card. Overall, great card to serve the spending controls that we have needed.

Helping a struggling adult with their finances is difficult. TrueLink provides a good product & service for this purpose. Did not give 5 stars due to long length of time for transfers to be completed - much longer than my regular e-banking.
