DO NOT EVER USE TRIP IT. They do not side with the customer, protect, or do anything for you. We arrived to a hotel in Palermo, Italy. And the ENTIRE property was infested with black mold. The bathroom in the room, the walls, the gym, everywhere. We documented photos, and then the hotel told them they were “fake” didn’t get a dollar back. We left and booked a different hotel immediately. STAY AWAY!

I forwarded my receipts and it made so many mistakes it was useless! Dates are wrong, a 5 day tour was listed as one hour! Worthless!

I have been a faithful Tripit pro user for many years however today I almost missed a flight due to Tripit sending incorrect gate change information. I was on an Alaska air flight and the app sent a text to me advising of a gate change - to a southwest gate in another terminal- I had to go through security 4 times at two different terminals only to barely make it to the correct gate. I don't trust the app or the information it sends any longer. What a major fail!

Yes it does keep track of all your trip stuff I would recommend to cancel subscription or set a reminder. I tried it and had thought I canceled but seen a charge on my account quickly emailed and this was the response. I was surprised as most refund even the same day or day after. Thank you for contacting TripIt. We see you've already canceled your Pro subscription, and it will remain Pro for the full term paid. The cancellation occurred on May 14th, and the expiration date for the subscription will occur on 5/13/2027. After this date, it will revert to a free account, and there will be no future charges. TripIt Pro charges already made to your credit card account are non-refundable. When your TripIt Pro subscription expires, you will retain all existing trip data. You can view your TripIt Pro transaction history and print receipts/invoices for each transaction on the Subscription and Billing page of the TripIt website. Please see our TripIt Pro receipt help page. So disappointing as they could see I have not used it for a year

Tripit seems to be designed to prevent users accessing their accounts rather than being the very handy and helpful travel planner it used to be. I understand need for security but trying to create a password is nearly impossible now as it offers no guidance or tips on what they accept - have had 8 extremely complicated passwords rejected as "not strong enough"

There parser simply does not work. i am not able to upload a very simple itinerary. Waste of time.

TripIT server down most of 22 December and logged me out and failed when I tried to log back in. Server down error message most of the day. Status Gator. Com reported 120 TripIT down reports from all over the world. TripIT support failed to respond or offer goodwill extra pro subscription months as a goodwill gesture. Also, daily reminders about non renewal of pro when I had already paid £38 for another TripIT pro year. Not appreciated and TripIT support did not help in any way. Otherwise a really excellent product and thank you very much.

I was led to believe that it was one of the best software for holiday planning but after organising two holidays I've decided to leave. The planner, whilst attempting to be intuitive and efficient, is buggy and clunky to use. Here are some examples: 1. Whilst plans can synch with iCal, not all information is easily viewed eg Notes (and there is nowhere else to include information). Why ever not? The only way to view the information is to view it on Tripit but... 2. the link to Tripit on each diary entry in iCal does not not work, clearly a security issue with the link, so the only way is to make the link 'public'. Even if I did not mind doing this..... 3. rather than taking you that diary entry in Tripit, the link takes you to the top level of your trip so you have to scroll all the way down to find the diary entry. In addition... 4. the layout of the plans is unintuitive. In a digital world of multiple views, calendar views, which is how holidays actually work, Tripit only has one scrolling view of 'plans' making it clunky to navigate. I'm sure there are loads more poor design issues which I haven't uncovered but for these alone, I'm out.
