I don’t like how there’s no in person format. I feel to be a good trainer you need to have in person instruction.

Hi Matthew, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We want to be upfront for anyone reading: the IPTA CPT has always been an online, self-paced certification, and that is by design. Like every major NCCA accredited personal training certification, it is delivered remotely so trainers can study around work and family without traveling to a classroom. We agree with you that being a good trainer takes more than passing an exam, which is why the curriculum focuses heavily on assessment, program design, and coaching cues, and why we encourage every graduate to get reps in on the gym floor, shadow experienced trainers, and keep learning through continuing education. Our team is also available to support graduates as they build their careers. You were one of our earlier candidates back in 2023, and the program has grown quite a bit since then, so if you would like a look at the current materials or have any questions, please reach out to us anytime. We appreciate the feedback and wish you continued success.

It legitimately helped with my studying. However, the program isn't put together very well. Example; it allows you to create mock exams where you can decide how many questions and from which chapters or domains, I chose all domains at 50 questions, completed it, repeat the same criteria yet it gave me the exact same questions, I tried resetting 4x and again got the exam same questions. Another reason I provided 3 stars; I was billed Jan 7th and took the CSCS Jan 8th. I passed the exam. I requested IPTA to provide me either a full or prorated refund for January since I didn't need it anymore. They told me I'm not eligible for refund. Not the response I was hoping for, one that ensures I'll never use their services again, and a response that I will share with ALL who inquire about IPTA. Very disappointing.

Hi JC, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and congratulations on passing your CSCS exam — that’s a great achievement. We’re truly glad to hear that our study tools helped you prepare, but we’re also sorry that parts of your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Your feedback about the mock exam question repetition is extremely valuable. This feature should provide variety with each reset, and our team did review and implement a fix soon after this was reported. Regarding the refund request — we understand how frustrating it can feel when timing overlaps like this occur. While our refund policy doesn’t allow for post-billing refunds once access has been granted, we recognize that policies don’t always reflect personal situations perfectly. Even so, we never want a student to walk away feeling unsupported, and we’re always open to finding ways to make your experience better. We genuinely appreciate your feedback — it helps us improve and better serve future students. — The IPTA Team

The website and program is riddled with typos and errors. After 2 months the system locked me out saying I didn't have an account with my email. When I contacted 2 days later, I had already been charged an additional month. They verified my account, gave me new sign in information and initially refused my refund. After continuous prompting, the representative pushed it through to someone else to possibly issue me a refund. I did end up receiving my refund from the second representative.

Overall pretty good. The information was great but the format was not user friendly if you aren’t on a laptop or iPad. Audio files had to be accessed through the website which made it hard to use while driving - a time I most needed them. The flash card app is great but the answers aren’t very in depth. It would be nice to have explanations to the answers when you complete the quizzes as the references weren’t helpful. Also, a section on how to solve all the equations would be great as that was hit hard on both parts of the exam.

Hey Brooke, thank you for the review and we have recently changed our format so it is more friendly to address the above issue with the audio guides. We appreciate the review and helping improve the study materials.

I failed the first time but I didn’t grasp the concepts in full before moving on to the next chapter. I was passing all the tests and I religiously listened to the lectures and studied the chapters. I followed the 8 week plan. Ultimately I didn’t pass the first time then I changed over to the movement system study guides and videos and I passed with an 87 and an 81 on both. I loved how the tests and quizzes were laid out but they were just questions that were nothing like what the test were. They said if you fail you can get your money back but I responded to their emails three times to be automated back to a bot. If you’re studying for the CSCS I would use the movement system study materials instead.

I thought I'd let you know that I used your resources and studying methods and I passed my test with only having 5 weeks to study for my exam. I will say that none of the questions were similar to those of the test and nothing that studied was on the test but it did help to practice answering questions. A lot of stuff that was on the test i already knew from taking physiology and nutrition classes the previous semester.

Hey Anna, thank you so much for sharing your success in passing the ACE CPT exam with us! We're thrilled to hear our study materials were a valuable resource for you. Your feedback on the practice questions' relevancy is greatly appreciated, and we'll be sure to delve into this to make any needed adjustments. Recent test takers have stated that the exam questions mirrored our practice ones, but we're on it to further investigate. Congratulations once again on your achievement!

The good: This program helped me pass the exam, which was the primary end goal. It was helpful to be pointed in the right direction with regard to what portions of the ACE exam I would need to focus on, since there are a couple pretty large textbooks. The bad: The program is very poorly proofread, if not un-proofread entirely. The flashcards feature has the potential to be the most helpful part of this academy, but unfortunately whoever authored the flashcards has the absolute worst spelling I have ever seen. It looked like it was thrown together in a hurry at 3am. Additionally, aside from being riddled with spelling and punctuation errors, I verified a handful of flashcards that were simply teaching incorrect information, and numerous quizzes with the correct answer being called incorrect, and a wrong answer being called correct. As you can imagine, discovering that the program you spent a large chunk of money on in order to pass a challenging exam has flaws in its own information made me pretty nervous about how effective of a study tool it was. Was I even studying correct curriculum or being mislead? Overall the academy did what it was supposed to do, and in the end I passed the exam with a 749 out of possible 800. I just wish the program was a little more polished and reliable in its content. I spent almost as much time correcting errors in the academy's content as I did studying.
