Trader Academy helped supplement my studying materials with the NSCA outline and practice questions. I’d recommend for first time takers and anyone not in the health field originally.
Kino A.
Negatives: I shelled out 300 bucks on a program that's bang average at best. The practice questions (PQs) are a not up to par, especially the ones for the P/A section. A lot of necessary content was excluded from those questions, like videos and images. The depth of the questions was inadequate. Additionally, some of the answers to questions weren't correct. The mnemonics are useless -- I dropped those after two weeks. Same goes for the audio guide, as it just repeats, word for word, the study guide Q/A. The cheat sheet was ok. Positives: The Q/A study guide is a nice way to cover the basics of what the exam entails, and that's it. The flashcards are great for definitions, and remembering important numbers. The S/F section of the PQs get 3/5; they almost adequately cover the required content for the exam. The blueprint is another plus, as it provides a guide to go by and modify along the way. Overall: I still feel like a three star rating is justified. For how much the program cost, it should offer a hell of a lot more! As a previous reviewer noted, it seems like just a quick profit scheme. You might as well build yourself your own 2-4 months study plan, with the DCO from NSCA and go 2-3 chapters a time. As well as finding better practice questions for review.
