1/5 Stars – Beware of unauthorized charges and bait-and-switch billing practices
I recently tried to reactivate my account using an advertised 50% off promotion ($20/month). Before signing up, my app account showed a $0.00 balance, and no past-due fees were ever disclosed or billed during checkout. I entered a brand-new credit card strictly to authorize the $20 promotional rate.
Immediately upon checkout, Tommy’s Express charged my new card the $20 promo fee—and then secretly processed an additional, unauthorized $39.99 back-charge for a period from three months prior. Taking a newly provided payment method entered for a specific promo and using it to retroactively collect old fees without disclosure or consent is unethical bait-and-switch billing.
When I reached out to customer service, support refused to issue a refund or acknowledge that charging an unbilled past amount to a newly added card without warning is wrong. I had to file an unauthorized transaction dispute directly with my credit card company to get this resolved.
Watch your card statements very carefully if you use this company or their app.

Stay away
They renewed subscription without any notification and when I asked for a refund same day, they told me that, locations' decision. I reported this to my payment provider. Stay away from them

A car wash with a huge ego
Was a subscription user for years. Lately the monthly was confusingly moving between our 2 cars. Went for a wash on 7/3. Was again stopped by the drive through window and told no subscription for my car. I was in the second lane away, raised my voice to be heard. Dismissed by employee as he went on to help 2 other cars and let me sit. Finally waved me through. HOWEVER, at the end of the wash I was accosted by a second 20 something who was only concerned that I had "yelled" at his co-worker. Asked all the wrong questions with attitude and never helped fix the issue. Later that day I received and email letting me know that my subscription had been cancelled. I called and was told that I now had "notes" in my file and that I was no longer welcome at Tommy's. Really? A car wash? Also have not received a call from mgt or a refund as I requested. I am amazed that they refuse business over what amounts to nothing. Many other choices in Toledo.

Terrible wash and does not even come close to drying the car, the manager is an arrogant guy with a bad attitude and does not care about customers at all, I would look somewhere else to wash as there are plenty of places around as this place does not want your business thats very obvious....

I had a terrible experience at Tommy's…
I had a terrible experience at Tommy's Car Wash last week, and what happened afterward was even more disappointing.
Anyone who has been to Tommy's knows they use large red guide balls to help align your vehicle onto the conveyor belt. I carefully drove between those guide balls, and my car is brand new. If I had hit them, my vehicle's sensors would have immediately alerted me, but there were no warnings, no contact, and no marks on the vehicle.
Once I was on the belt and placed the car in neutral as instructed, I suddenly heard a loud thud. Because the belt keeps moving the vehicle, I couldn't see what was happening. A young employee came out and told me to reverse, but offered no explanation. Another employee was called over, and they had me move the car forward, backward, left, and right without providing any information about what was going on. I was sitting there worried about my vehicle while nobody seemed interested in explaining the situation.
Eventually, they called a manager. In order to get my car off the track, they actually had to move the red guide balls so that my vehicle could be backed out straight. To me, that raises serious questions about whether the alignment system itself was positioned correctly.
After filing a claim, I received an email stating that my claim was denied because I allegedly failed to align the vehicle properly. What makes this especially frustrating is that when I spoke with the claims representative, he agreed that if I successfully made it through the guide balls, the vehicle should have been properly aligned. However, when I asked how it could still be my fault, he suggested that I may have somehow pushed the guide balls out of position. There are no marks on my vehicle to support that claim.
When I requested the video footage that supposedly supports their conclusion, they refused to provide it. I explained that the damage to my nearly new vehicle could cost thousands of dollars to repair, and instead of showing any concern, the representative told me to "go ahead" when I mentioned seeking legal counsel.
To make matters worse, while I was still trying to ask questions and understand their reasoning, the representative abruptly hung up on me. That level of disrespect and lack of professionalism was shocking.
What disappointed me most was not just the incident itself, but the complete lack of transparency, accountability, and customer care throughout the process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Tommy's Car Wash. If something goes wrong, don't expect them to take responsibility or even treat you with basic courtesy.

Negligence without acknowledgement acceptance
A year ago our vehicle was damaged by the Byron Center location. They have the damage on video. At the time accepted no responsibility nor offered any reimbursemet for damages. Damages cost us around 230.00. Today, my wife's car was blacklisted. I will say it again as I did a year ago, this company is dishonest, not a reputable nor professional group to deal with. They know litigation is far more expensive than a small repair bill from one customer, so they decline reimbursement from all the small damages that occur. Stay away from All Tommys, the attitude is the same at all locations..
