bought 2 tokk pl16 a few months ago despite concerns with a non replaceable battery and no backup key to open lock if batteries died. sure enough, on a trip to orlando, fl, tokk pl16 locks led went blank. thinking it needed a charge i plugged charger to them. this allowed me to open lock. after a 24 hour charge, still didnt work. conclusion batteries dead. they told me batteries should last excess of 3+ years. mine didnt last even 1 year. tried to email their tech support. guess what??? their 2 emails were DOA, just like my tokk pl16. my fears about these locks with batteries dying came true addendum: that phone number above doesnt work either. it gives a voice message that is almost incoherent and it sounds like you need to email the email address in the voice message for the new phone number however, that email bounced back to me undeliverable!! it appears they may no longer be in business so those with bad locks may be SOL
