Extremely difficult to cancel simple subscription. I spoke with a representative in September to cancel my marketing subscription. They require a 30 day notice to cancel, which is unheard of for the type of subscription plan being provided. I highly don't recommend Thryv.

If there was an option for a "less than one star review" I would use it. Everything was overpromised and there was no follow through. Complete bait and switch. Both of my web and CRM team members were fired in the process with no communication to me that this happened and I wasn't assigned new ones. I can honestly say that Thryv underperformed at every step. I emailed the management with 20 of the myriad iissues and I requested a refund. I had to go through hoops for them to follow through with the refund. I haven't recieved it yet because they sent it to some other client by mistake. Been In Buisness since 12/93 Always changing just like the money to hands.Seems this company sets up your Online Advertising and then its on auto pilot and they just take your money!!!!! No matter what you do or the changes you will hust continue to pay and the calls and you will drop in add columns, Word of mouth is still the best tool . Im sick and tired on these peoplw stealing my money every month with nothing to show for it. Look elsewhere before you spend your money on adds with no return and so were CLRAR , IN 5 STAR ACROSS THE BOARD WITH ZERO COMPLAINTS.OVER 300 REVIEWS ITS NOT ME BUT POOR ADVERTISNG FROM THRYV.

We were sold so many unfulfilled promises. You might as well take your money and throw it in the trash! Company advertised a service we do not even provide therefore we were receiving business calls we could not even make money off of. They advertised our business name wrong! We are paying this company $1610.00 a month for absolutely nothing. Only signed up for a 6 month term and they continue to try and state we have 1 extra month left and then went from one to 2 extra months left. We finally got in writing our terms end as of 12-30-25. Will not ever use or recommend this company to anyone!

I migrated from Sensis with the Thryv takeover. Prior to Thryv I had reasonable organic traffic, but after the migration next to 0 organic. I was sold the CRM platform which i did want and made this clear. Locked into 6 month contract. Beyond that dropped back to Marketing centre,SEO, and adwords. This is an overpriced, under delivering product. The staff are unresponsive, or slow to respond, and the only time you will hear from them is when they want to sell more products or at contract renewal. When you choose to leave, and you will, you need to know Any SEO, Google Adwords, etc. that you have paid for, you won't own. Everything is done inside their propriety platform. YOU OWN NOTHING. If you purchased you Domain thru them you may not even own that. This is a monthly subscription to nothing. You could flush your $$$ down the toilet and get the same result. Not only do I not recommend, I suggest almost any other provider would be better.

One star is too much for this company! I have been trying to cancel our services for over a year. We rebranded and moved our business to a new location, and I had been trying to get our ad changed for THREE YEARS. Despite acknowledging receipt of my emails, nothing happened. They have acknowledged that the cancellation notice was received and a refund has been processed; however, I just received continual requests for my bank details, and the refund has never been received. I call but can't speak to LAURA G, who sends all the emails. I truly believe this company is SCAMMING Australian small businesses.

I have been trying to cancel our business yellow pages for two years. They say okay and then renew it anyway. I'm sick of paying for something I don't want. Then they lie and make excuses how it's my fault I didn't cancel before it was printed. It prints once a year how could I not have been on time when it was two years ago

Instead, we ended up with confusion, poor communication, and a major loss that directly impacted our business. During the process of merging our Google listings—something Thryv was actively involved with—we lost over 40 legitimate Google reviews that we had worked hard for. Those reviews are critical for a small business like ours, and once they disappeared, there was no real urgency, solution, or accountability from Thryv to get them restored. On top of that, throughout our time with them, we struggled to get clear answers on what was actually working in our marketing. We weren’t pushed toward Facebook or Google specifically, but the overall guidance was vague, and the results were inconsistent. We kept asking for clarity, better reporting, and a stronger strategy, and we never felt like we got transparent or actionable information in return. As a small business, every review and every marketing dollar matters. Losing reviews and not having clear insight into what our advertising was doing was incredibly frustrating, and it ultimately made the service feel like more work, not less. If you're considering Thryv, be cautious. Ask very direct questions about how they handle Google Business Profiles, how they protect your existing reviews, and what kind of concrete reporting and accountability you can expect. Our experience was disappointing, and I hope this helps another business avoid the same issues.
