I signed up for milk delivery after someone came to my door one night and I was told there was an offer on where I would get 2 cartons of milk and a bottle of juice for £5 a week. Not bad I thought, so signed up. Got an email saying a direct debit had been set up for £6 per week. This was not what I agreed to so I cancelled it and tried to phone them to set it up again with no joy. Then i got an email saying they had set up my direct debit again this time for £25!! by this point i'd had 2 cartons of milk (one which was left in minus 7 degrees weather so was frozen and went off after defrosting) and 1 bottle of juice. I again cancelled the direct debit and tried to phone. no answer. I received 2 more bottles of milk and 1 more bottle of juice, so 4 (or 3 if you count the off one) in total. Then i get an email saying you are due us £55! I don't think so! Been told it's because I cancelled my direct debit, well I wouldn't have if you had been honest about your pricing and your service was better. I will pay what I owe and not a penny more. I didn't sign anything to say I agree to these stupid charges so good luck with that. **Per your reply** You seem to have no record of any of your customers who leave negative reviews, which seems to be a common theme. I can assure you this is not a fake review, (unlike the sudden flurry of positive reviews) and if you really have no record of me can you stop sending me emails asking for £55. thanks. **Per your addition to your reply** if you really don't have a record of me that's fine. I'm obviously not due you any money. the emails seems to have stopped for now so I'm happy to leave at that. The fees in my review are absolutely correct, you only have to look at the other reviews to see that this a common thing you do to try and make money from customers without providing a service. Thank you.

All fine until you cancel. Staff no concept of customer service. Paid outstanding bill while cancelling and discover now have been charged a further £11 after they supposedly cancelled my DD. Try Google for more accurate reviews of this business.

Incredibly rude customer service when I tried to cancel. I would not recommend this company to anyone in any circumstances. Operator refuses to allow you to speak to management.

FURTHER UPDATE- How can you deny trying to charge a cancellation fee, so it's false from countless other customers as well, check reviews here and on google and I think its safe to say the majority of people are not making it up, what a huge coincidence that would be plus I have written evidence as I'm sure others do so maybe Thomsons should just accept the fact that they are the liars and not their customers. UPDATE- In regard to the reply from Thomson's total and utter lies! I DO NOT OWE a penny. Thomsons tried to charge a completely made up and unknown cancellation admin fee as many many others have complained about and I refused to pay that but I did pay my bill for the milk in full so Thompsons you can cease with the lies or we will see what trading standards has to say about it! If I could leave zero stars I would! During cancelling I got told there was admin charges added due to the account being overdue which it's not as current payment got took via direct debit and the last payment isn't due until 1 week in arrears as agreed initially when account got set up. Will never use Thomson Dairies again, very rude and abrupt on the phone as per many other reviews state, nobody who talks like that should be allowed to speak to customers and an official complaint will be lodged, management should pay particular attention to this as some customers could come back at a later date, well not me and I will tell everybody I know to never use them either!

Cancelled account following the process on the website and didnt receive our final milk order. Have replied to harassing emails for payment multiple times and had no reply. Phones aren’t answered and can’t get in contact.

I emailed 3 times to cancel milk. Finally phoned today to say I had cancelled direct debit. Was told by 2 operators I was being rude. I was simply trying to get the m to listen to what had happened because I had paid all the milk I had ordered. I was told curtly that you can’t cancel by email. How was I meant to know that? No apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience. I was made to feel I was in the wrong. They cut me off once and I had the grace to phone back to make the payment but after more defence, I’m afraid I gave up. Need some staff training here!

Our bank didn't transfer the direct debit over correctly as we switched accounts and we got email after email applying unnecessary charges. We got a £20 charge recently for not answering the phone 😂 Decided to call customer support in attempt to clear the issue and was greeted with one of the worst customer service reps ever who threatened to come to the door, pass to a debt collection agency, didn't care about us as a customer in any way shape or form and decided to hang up the call. Sadly, the service was good when it was good, but the hidden charges and poor customer service has meant we won't be continuing, nor will 3 of our neighbours. To cancel you need to CALL between 9-4:30 only when you call, they never answer, so how can you cancel?! In this day and age when people are stretched, busy and struggling for a time, a more practical customer service process would make sense, sadly, this is a bullying tactic that will upset many. Poor.

Before you use this company refer to their terms of cancellation hidden deep in the FAQ of their website. They are impossible to get by phone, they ignore emails and create bogus charges on cancellation. Avoid this company.
