If I could give no stars I would. I had a rate of .11 but I missed their renewal notice and the rate went to .32!!! 3 times! They answer was that was their "Variable rate!" if you don't renew! Who has a variable rate mortgage or credit card where the rate triples in one month!! I already switched!!

Hello Steve. We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, $.32 was the variable market rate at the time. We wish you all the best.

Poor Customer Service.
Poor Customer Service.
Make that VERY Poor Customer Service.
Bill is higher than contract amount.
They NEVER return phone calls as they promise. I called 5 times in one week, left messages as instructed, never received a return call.
I also had a $146 credit that they have yet to explain where it went (not to me).
Avoid these people.

ThinkEnergy was on my mother's billing…
ThinkEnergy was on my mother's billing statement, and I noticed my older brother who pays the bills was sending large checks to ThinkEnergy monthly, her 900 sq. ft. home was costing her from $275.00 to $325.00 per month summer and winter, gas heat and a window ac unit, crazy when I called to cancel the service and revert back to Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, it took me an hour of arguing with the service rep on the phone to have it cancelled, they looked at our record stating Mrs. Carney was the person who agreed to the service 24 months prior, well my mother, 89 has dementia and cannot speak and hasn't been able to speak for over 7 years, I reviewed the bills for the last 24 months with an Illuminating company account rep and found we paid more than $4,200.00 over what our bill would have been remaining with CEI for the same period, this was in July, my last several bills did not exceed $125.00 for August - October. how they did this I don't know but if anyone knew of a class action against them, I would like to join.
what is our country coming to???

We are so sorry to hear about your experience.
Think Energy has gone through quite a few changes in the recent months. One of the major changes is that we are under the new ownership of Energywell. Since being under new ownership, we have more than doubled the number of customer care representatives, increasing our emphasis on empathy across our Help Center communications and in our Support team training, and have created a more refreshed, straightforward customer portal.

TRIPLE the default rate! BEWARE!
I let my fixed rate contract expire years ago (while bereaved) but I thought that since ThinkEnergy was once a good deal, staying with them on a variable rate couldn't be so bad, could it? Yes, it could. Now that energy prices are through the roof, I took a closer look. For as long back as I have kept bills, we have paid ThinkEnergy more than what The Illuminating Company would have cost - and for months now we have paid essentially TRIPLE! That's right folks, 19.543 cents vs. 6.62 cents with The Illuminating Company (most recent bill). Before about a year ago it was DOUBLE. I am in shock. They are highway robbers and I am mad at myself for not catching this sooner.

Start up was a disaster
Start up was a disaster. Requests for paper billing was ignored. Connections were not done in a timely manner. Calls to the company weren't answered. We have four (4) accounts. We DO NOT receive invoices for half of these accounts but past due notices are very prompt. If we could give a minus star rating it would be minus 10. Initial encounter 6/6/2022

Persistent and Annoying!
Continually pestered by ‘Martin from Rethink Energy’, claiming ‘this isn’t a cold call…’ Actually they all were, and continue to be. (My numbers are registered with the TPS.)
Reluctantly gave this persistently annoying company one star.
