The Swiss Colony, LLC
Multiple times throughout the many years a 2nd credit account was created after placing an order under a logged-in account with verified credit account. It has always been quickly rectified by customer service agent. They linked the new account to the credit account I have access to, and receive monthly statements for. Recently, I have been receiving 8 am EST calls. Voicemail claims to be Swiss Colony collections. I logged into my account to verify that I have been paying on time. I have an account with Experian credit monitoring service. I received notification that The Swiss Colony, LLC has posted 2 negative late payments to my credit report. I just got off the phone with an agent who eventually discovered after numerously being placed on hold that a Christmas 2023 order was purchased on a 2nd account. She linked it to my current account, but is refusing to remove negative information they placed on my personal credit report. After heated argument, she hung up on me. I have reported incident to CFPB. I advise anyone with similar issues to do the same!

RUN! You may be screwing your friends and relatives
RUN!
Spent over an hour with a SC rep last night who could not step away from her cue cards and eventually she hung up on me.
Situation: My wife ordered gifts for family on the SC website for Christmas and Valentines. When making the order, she followed these steps:
1- Logged into HER account where she has a charge capability.
2- When populating the order she mistakenly used the shipping address interchangeably with the billing address. Meaning she put the recipient address in both the billing and shipping fields. Her email and phone number were listed and she was logged into her account.
3- The item shipped, she received confirmation emails yet the recipient also received a bill for the amount of the item. One of two situations ensued:
a. If the recipient had previously had or has an SC account, the system grabbed their account number associated and listed that in the credit agreement at which time, and unrecognized at the time, the recipient account was billed when she was logged into her own and different account.
b. If the recipient didn't have an account with SC, she was presented with the customary credit account acknowledgement and while all seemed okay... a new SC account was created and the item and bill were sent to the recipient.
4. We called customer support 4x and receive the run around on their cue cards and are told that without certain information this could not of happened. WE are told that this sort of mix up is not possible because their system in very secure.
5. Just last night, after being hung up on by Ms. Crystal at customer service, I went to the site, on my work laptop, one that my wife has never so much as touched; and, created an order for my Father (has an SC account that was zero balance) and using the guest checkout feature, skipping the create account password entry area, was able to create an order that validated and in the payment section, was presented with several options:
- Open a new SC Account
- Use an existing Account
- Use Credit or debit
- Call in and pay by phone
I alternately tried each of the options... The result was alarming... Mind you I am NOT logged into their system, I do NOT have an account and I am using the guest checkout feature.
In the first instance of applying for an SC account, I am asked for SSN and DOB.. Standard credit app stuff... I abandon and move on ... Next, I clicks on the use existing account and I am presented with the last four digits of my father's account number and an acknowledgement of charge agreement... How the heck is this secure...
The later two options of payment are self explanatory..
We went on to get on my wife's Laptop and repeat the process described above with one exception, she logged into her account and repeated her previous steps... all appears to be normal except where she is inserting her email and her phone number in the billing address... This has somehow caused the situation above and there are several new accounts or existing accounts that are being charged to fraudulently by SC in spite of all the statement of secure transaction.
My wife actually looked back in here email and found that there were several payment reminders in her inbox for these other addresses and accounts but when clicking on the link, logging in and reviewing her orders, they are NOT on the list of items ordered in her order history. They are in fact on the other recipients existing accounts or the newly created accounts.
WE are calling their management now... Under FTC rulings, none of the recipients are liable for these charges and they can be classified as a gift and not be forced to pay for them as SC is responsible for the error.. We are trying to do the right thing and pay for the items that were erroneously billed to our recipients. SC is making this extremely difficult and they are very combative.

The order and experience was a disaster…
The order and experience was a disaster from the beginning. My order took over a month and was ordered way before Christmas, never came had to go out and re buy the gift. I cancelled my order and the next day 1out of 3 things showed up ,my order was never cancelled. The summer sausage was as tiny as a barbie's size.I payed $12.99 for a tiny bite size sausage, and with shipping it came to $21.00 !! Never again!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE TASTE .

Received two gift pkgs from friends
Received two gift pkgs from friends. The quality of Swiss Colony products has deteriorated substantially. The chocolates were dry and crumbling. The sausage meats lacked flavor. Glad I didn’t use Swiss Colony to purchase Christmas gifts. My local stores are more reliable because their items are fresh and tastey.

BEWARE!!
BEWARE!!! Placed a $200 order 10 days ago, FINALLY received tracking information from FedEx this morning that it was out for delivery, 5 hours later, I received an email from FedEx stating there was a delivery exception. I call FedEx and was told that they couldn't give me any info on the delivery exception, that I had to call Swiss Colony. I call Swiss Colony and am told they have the incomplete address, to which I inform her that I emailed the company to correct THEIR mistake the second I received the order confirmation and even received an email confirming they had fixed it!!! I was informed that the shipping label must have been printed RIGHT BEFORE they received the correction (convenient excuse for not doing THEIR job)....So after 2 more phone calls(each) with FedEx and Swiss Colony each telling me I had to contact the other, I informed Swiss Colony to cancel the order, cancel a $100 pending order, and cancel my account altogether! Bottom line is: no matter how large your order is, they just do not care about their customers...

An online order was placed and paid for…
An online order was placed and paid for in mid-November as a gift. A month later, it never arrived. A call determined it was allegedly sent to the wrong person at the wrong address. The agent apologized and said a refund would be issued. Nothing was forthcoming. A month later a follow-up resulted in not one, but two agents calling, each apologizing and saying a refund would be issued. A written confirmation was requested but never received and the promised refund has not arrived. It's been two months since the original order was placed and payment to the merchant issued. FRAUD!

Swiss Colony BEWARE
I ordered a box of Petits Fours on Dec 12, 2023, which was the deadline for also ordering their free items [petits fours & chocolates]. I didn't need them until mid-January, but they accepted my order knowing if they ran out of the free items I would not get them. If I had them shipped that day, I would have received the free items. On Saturday 1/6/24, I received an email that the free items were no longer available. I don't really know if they are not available. They could be lying for all I know. The email said, "If you would like assistance in choosing a different item(s), simply reply to this email or call US AT 800-395-8694." I tried to call, but they are closed on the weekends. When I called on Monday 1/8/24, the first 2 people said I could substitute sugar-free petits fours or mixed nuts that are half the value. I don't consume roasted nuts nor sugar alcohols nor sugar substitutes. By the time I got to the 3rd person [next level supervisor, Evelyn], she said they didn't have anything left they could substitute. In other words, SOL on the free items. Her excuse is that they are only available while supplies last. When I ordered them, they were still in stock. Because I didn't want them shipped until when I needed them mid-January, they didn't account for the orders that were made already and decided while supplies last doesn't matter if you ordered them when they were in stock. This is about as dishonest as you can get. They will not take food items back, if I were to refuse the delivery. Therefore, they cheated me out of the free items. Given 2 people said there were substitutes and the 3rd person said there is nothing you can substitute, it is reasonable to speculate there might be grand lying and dishonesty going on at Swiss Colony. To make matters worse, I couldn't cancel the item because on Monday 1/8/24 the item I ordered was shipped, without giving me time to choose something else like the email said I could nor cancel after their 1/6/24 email. TRICKERY is the least offensive thing I could say. Chances are they planned it this way. The item I ordered possibly wasn't enough for them to want to fulfill their free item agreement, so they came up with their excuses. They are not the honest trustworthy company with integrity I have ordered from for decades. NEVER AGAIN. No loss to them I'm sure. Just another example of Corporate America greed. They could have substituted something, if they had integrity. They could have held accounted for free items ordered when they were in stock. BEWARE because they had all kinds of excuses for not filling the free items and not allowing me to cancel or return the order they sent without the free items.
