It would have had 5 stars. But since it ‘updated’ absolutely useless. Says I can’t access collabs anymore. Which is useless. Been waiting to see if it changes but nope. Honestly annoying as I was using this site for ages. Don’t bother.

I am a founder and started my small business last year, so I joined Social Cat as a way to get my products to micro influencers in exchange for IG posts/reels/etc.. Unfortunately, I only lasted on the site for two months. I had a disappointing situation where a creator did not follow through with her commitment to me to post on the agreed upon platforms, and she ghosted me completely when I asked for a status (I think I followed up like 4 times). I think we all deserve the decency of communication, at the bare minimum. So, I reached out to Social Cat for support to see if they could get ahold of her. I have no idea what Social Cat told the creator, but she got very angry, sent me some harsh messages, and left me a 1 star review with something pretty disparaging. I didn't really feel like that was fair... I worked with at least 5 other influencers before and had a 5-star rating. I reached out to Social Cat again and explained the situation. They basically told me they could not remove her 1-star review from my public profile (even though it had inaccurate information). Needless to say, I cancelled my subscription after that and never looked back. IMO, there is no need to use Social Cat. What I would recommend to all business owners is to cold DM micro influencers because it's 1) free to do and 2) tbh they usually respond and are very kind and grateful. I started doing that after this dilemma and it was the best decision I made. Also, after you work with one micro influencer, just ask them for others in their network who may want to work with you too (endless opps there). Just my two cents!

CONTENT CREATORS AND BRANDS STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLATFORM! I've worked with over 300 brands and have had my content licensed by Apple. I started Social Cat as a minimal UGC platform to help smaller brands get content - Social Cat would allow brands on the platform to not pay me after the content was delivered and only ever sent a copy and paste response. They are a small team of scammers who charge $100 for brands monthly to access creators they could find by searching hashtags on social platforms. They gatekeep creators from brands based on "engagement rates" but their own social media on Instagram has less than a 0.7 engagement rate. Avoid at all costs and report them to the proper organization.

Trash product. All UGC recommendations were very low quality. Most importantly they dont let you cancel free trial until a period has passed. VERY annoying!!! this product is horrible do not use.

The platform is a ghost town. Influencers never reply and that's been my experience and others I've talked about. Until they can figure out both sides of the marketplace it's just an ineffective platform happy to take your money.

I'm convinced this is a predatory website, they steal your sensitive information and sell it or are personally using it. My Facebook business page was suddenly hacked and the hackers tried to empty my bank account spending over 2,000. And what kind of business holds you hostage on a trial period - that already felt uncomfortable and now I know why Given the amount of people repeating the same story as me of being hacked directly after registering with this company, I am even more convinced it's to do with this company and I hope their downfall will be very soon. It's evil because our whole small business is under attack and we can't even run Facebook ads due to the hackers fraud on our account

Predatory organization that violates privacy and data laws. Furthermore, they will not allow you to cancel a free trail or revoke your credit and billing information. They indicate that you must earn the privilege of cancelation by using the trial for a minimum period for them to then grant you the permission to cancel.

I'm a business owner. I used SocialCat for a month. 4 influencers applied, meaning I sent 4 people product to review/demo and post on social media. After sending product, only I actually produced work for me. The other 3 disappeared and wouldn't respond to my messages after receiving the product. SocialCat has no way of enforcing rules or penalties against these "takers." I can't even leave a review for those who didn't complete their work. I would be very leery of SocialCat if you're a brand. I sense the site is transient and there's no way to ensure a ROI.
