The gift for this collaboration was delivered to the influencer on 7/31. I messaged her a few times and never heard back. I reached out to Social Cat team and on 8/29 they started following up with her. She responded after 11 follow ups on 9/10. It literally took the influencer 40 days to respond. When it comes to quality of the post, there was not anything that you can call it quality work. Sent the same update as above to the Social Cat team and they never responded back, so I guess they don't care. But don't waste your time on this platform.

My experience with Social Cat was a good one at first, but after I made a query regarding something with my collaborations I stopped having my pitches accepted. No new deals. Then, just today, someone accepted my pitch, sent me a message asking for my shipping information, and then dropped the collaboration. I am firm in my belief that Social Cat has blacklisted me and that is truly unprofessional.

They are not very communitive with new creators which is their whole slogan.

Awful experience as a brand. I wanted to first test the waters to see how the process went so, I started with 3 people. I had pretty loose guidelines on what was needed in exchange for shipping free product to these nano/ micro influencers— in order for it to gain traction to make it hopefully worth our while. I sent the guidelines to each person asking for them to please review and see if the terms were something they felt comfortable fulfilling prior to my shipping. They all enthusiastically agreed. As a suggestion by Social Cat, they suggest to give no longer than a few weeks for the expected post. I gave them a little longer— but as long as it was posted prior to Black Friday (November). Only ONE of the 3 delivered. She posted a Reel that was shareable and my company was tagged in. The other two women didn’t. I had to email them and message them multiple times via Instagram where you could see that they were actively posting and not only did they not post the agreed video, one of the two wouldn’t respond at all. Noting that I didn’t come in “hot”, but said I was sure the holidays got busy and totally understood if it was beyond their bandwidth- and that I was just looking forward to them fulfilling their part of the deal and seeing the great content they came up with. I finally reached out to Social Cat to report them and hope to see there was some sort of protection for other brands so that these women wouldn’t be able to essentially steal. They said they would be in contact with me and I never heard anything. This was in February. SO, I just want to alert brands curious about this that you could very well be making agreements with people you think have good track records, but they leave you high and dry. As a startup, I think it’s a shame that there isn’t some sort of protocol or protection for this kind of thing. $60 cost and time down the drain.

Really shoddy service. Twice we've downgraded our account and twice we've been overbilled. I brought it to social cat's attention last month and was told I would be refunded but now they're backtracking on that promise. I had planned to close the account completely but I'm still chasing influencers who haven't delivered content and seem to have disappeared completely off the face of the earth.

So you sign up to connect to social influencers and specify you want to give free products for them to review. Some do. Most don't, and some hit you up for money then get mad when you don't pay . . . even though they accepted the free product. The staff on social cat aren't monitoring transactions, and if you rate an influencer badly they might well put out media that says they hate your product. So this is not a great service . . .

Those who call themselves "influencers" has 5-8K followers and simply are freeloaders who wants free service with zero results. They want you to pay $200-250 for post or stories, and if you don't accept you will get a fake review to your business. Better avoid this guys if you have local business that offer something that really cost. If this is something with a cheap base cost it may work for you, but not for service. I regret of wasted money on this service. Now I got fake review from one of their 'influencers" who just wanted money.

I’ve had social cat for a few months and it’s been a complete waste of time. I started month to month and a couple weeks in after I got traction I upgraded to the paid in full. I should’ve started getting weekly meetings with the upgrade that have yet to happen. The influencers are horrible. They’re not influencers. They are predominantly people who are sporadically active on Instagram or TikTok and do terrible jobs of creating content. Some of them give effort (beginners) most don’t try. At least half of the influencers go dark after getting the products and half of the ones that do end up posting don’t follow their agreements. The issue is the business puts up all the risk and the influencers have nothing to lose.
