I purchased The Standard backpack and within about six months the stitching started coming out and one strap pulled through its rivets. The stitching appeared to be double-stitched, but in fact the leather was cut short and only one row of stitching was engaged. Reviews had me believe I would get 20 years out of this backpack, but instead it failed in about 6 months. I have to say the quality of workmanship was not what I expected. I made a repair myself and sent the company pictures. They said they couldn’t do anything to help.
Edit/Update: Since I made the repair of my bag, now one of the main zippers opened up from the bottom.
July 7, 2025 update: I reported the issue during the warranty period. I have owned the backpack less than a year, it is still under warranty. I gave customer service that information.

Hi Frank,
We appreciate your honest feedback. This is, of course, not the experience we aim to provide, and usually do. We understand how disappointing this situation must be, especially after you placed your trust in our brand.
While we acknowledge your concerns about the rivets, stitching and zippers, it is important to note that any issues should have been reported to us within our guarantee period. This is because we cannot determine whether damage was caused by user factors, given the 1 year+ usage period this bag has already had.
If the damage had been reported within our guarantee period, this would have allowed us to of course, to help you with a replacement.
Since the issue was reported outside of our guarantee period, we are unable to offer a replacement.
Thank you for your understanding.

Ordered and paid for a father's gift computer case. $450. Never received any updates nor shipping confirmation. The only emails I received was your order is in process. I have so far submitted 3 requests, they do NOT have a CS #.
Update: Father's day gift was received the day after father's day. Ann apologized and followed up several times. The bag is nice.

Shipping Delay, Damaged Bag, and Dubious Support
Update 2:
Note: I’m using chatgpt to summarize this because it’s so complicated and they are threatening to take my review down if I don’t respond swiftly.
I purchased a The Everyday cow leather bag on May 11 with a promised delivery of 3–5 business days. After my order, I bought an additional wallet. The seller correctly swapped the color after my request, and I initially left a short positive review based on that interaction.
However, the bag itself did not ship properly. I updated my review to 1 star when I realized the tracking status hadn’t changed. Prior to that, support repeatedly insisted the delay was USPS’s fault, even though tracking clearly showed that the bag had never been received by USPS. I sent them a screenshot and everything, but nothing changed. I was panicking that I had been scammed out of $400 at that point, which led me to change my review.
Once my review score changed, the bag shipped within 48 hours. That timing, combined with AI-generated support responses, was highly suspicious. The responses ping as 99-100% AI generated on sites like gptzero.
When the bag arrived, it was slightly damaged and smelled strongly of soap and perfume, even now after two weeks. In contrast, the wallet I ordered with it does smell like real leather. This has made me question whether the bag is truly made of cow leather, or if it’s a lower-grade or synthetic substitute. I was researching this when the seller prompted me again to change my review, with one being from trustpilot itself showing they had flagged my review with only 3 days to provide more info!!! They clearly know what case this is, as evidenced by over 20 messages since May 17th, so this was clearly just a pressure tactic to remove a legitimate 1-star review!
I was eventually offered a $30 credit, which was framed alongside repeated requests to revise or remove my review, before the issue had been resolved. The refund just came through this morning, and two more emails immediately followed asking me to update my Trustpilot review again, along with a Trustpilot verification request.
TL;DR:
The company offered a resolution only after public pressure (and then only $30 + extended warranty WITH the pressure to update my review), avoided admitting fault, and showed greater concern for review optics than for product quality or transparency. The inconsistencies between the wallet and the bag raise real doubts about material authenticity.
I’m a busy person who has spent hours ln this whole process just to get $30 of compensation along with (at this point) 5 repeated attempts for me to change my review. I can’t believe I’m feeling this much pressure over a bag review, but given what they have put me through so far, I feel the need (and they are forcing me) to keep doing more work on this review.
I don’t know what this all means. Maybe my experience is just an outlier. But I’m actually so overwhelmed by this all and far from happy with the product. Just… don’t give a review until you get the product no matter how hard they pressure you. Make sure it’s as advertised before leaving a review. And I hope you keep your sanity if you end up like me.
Update 1: Spoke too soon. They have not sent the bag and wallet and it has been 3 weeks. I’m not sure I’ll ever get it and being on support with the same Anne has gotten me nowhere. She keeps claiming it’s in USPS hands but it’s clear it’s still with the Real Leather (Whittier, CA) and USPS has not yet received it.
Initial Review:
Anne was able to help me exchange a wallet for a different colored version before my order shipped out. Thanks, Anne!

JUST ANOTHER ONLINE NOT TRUSTED COMPANY
JUST ANOTHER ONLINE NOT TRUSTED COMPANY. RECEIVED AN WALLET WITH A STRONG ODOR ($84 AND ORIGINAL PRICE WAS $99) WHICH BURNED BOTH OF MY EYES WHEN I OPENED THE PACKAGE. THE COMPANY REFUSED TO ISSUE A SHIPPING LABEL. I HAD TO WASTE MY TIME, MONEY ($20), AND ENERGY TO SHIP THE USELESS WALLET BACK. IN ADDITION, THE AGENT THREATENED ME TO RETURN THE ITEM BACK WITHIN 3 DAYS, NOT 30 DAYS ON THEIR WEBSITE AND DEMANDED ME TO CANCEL MY DISPUTE WITH PAYPAL.COM. JUST BUY YOUR WALLET FROM MACY'S OR NORDSTROM. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE STRESS AND AGONY!!!

After multiple emails the service…
After multiple emails the service response was a $5 refund to take my bag to a leather repair shop to repair their bag. Do not spend $300 on this bag. It looks great on the outside but the interior fabrics fray and they do not stand behind their “lifetime” bag.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
Be cautious! They claim the item has shipped and provide a tracking number, but this only means the label was created. The product has not moved in over a week, and there is no way to contact the company except through a contact form. Hopefully, I am wrong, and they will respond to this post so we can turn this 1-star review into a 5-star one. However, based on the reviews I've read below, I remain doubtful.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would.
If I could give this company zero stars, I would. For Christmas, I asked my parents for a $300 leather backpack from this company. My mom ordered it. Unfortunately, I was unhappy with the quality and wanted to return it. We immediately notified the company and paid for it to be returned to the address they gave us. My mom received a response today that because we sent it back via UPS instead of USPS the company could not process a refund - even though we told them we were sending it back via UPS and we had to pay for shipping back ourselves and we had a tracking number that shows it arrived at their facility. We were shocked by this response. How disappointing and not okay. Order elsewhere.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for your feedback. We wanted to clarify the situation regarding your return. When we asked which shipping courier you would use to return the bag, it was because our warehouse system requires that the tracking number matches the label we provided. This is necessary to ensure smooth warehouse processing.
You indicated that you would be sending the return via USPS, and we provided you with a USPS label for this purpose. We emphasized the importance of using the specified courier to avoid any issues with your return and refund. However, you submitted a UPS tracking number for your return, which is not compatible with our system.
Typically, we cannot issue refunds for returns with incorrect tracking numbers as our warehouse system is unable to match the records and locate your shipment. However, in this instance, we were, fortunately, able to locate your return and therefore able to approve your refund this time. This was confirmed on January 20th.
Thank you.
