Pet lab sent me an additional product free when USPS lost the original product. I am so thankful because I feel like my dog likes taking the probiotic and that it is helping with the allergies.

my dogs have been taking itch relief for 2 months now with no relief from their itching. Should I discontinue the use of this???

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you have seen no difference so far. As our products are natural supplements, they can take several weeks to work as the ingredients need to build up to take effect. Even if you don’t think you are seeing improvements, the ingredients will be quietly working hard to support your pups' skin and coat health. However, we would have expected you to see some results after using the Itch Chews for two months.
Sometimes, it's the case that there are deeper underlying issues, and so it's worth consulting your vet. If nothing is working on his skin, then we recommend visiting the vet as it may need more serious medication. Your vet will be able to do a skin scrape and look at a more microscopic level to find which pathogen is causing skin problems, and give him a special anti-fungal or anti-bacterial bathing medicine. If you’re also sure the skin reactions are not flea, mite or yeast related, then your dog might have an environmental allergy. During the summer there are lots of various pollen or grass particles in the air which may be causing a reaction in your dog. If you visit the vet they will be able to advise you on what steps to take next. For example, they might prescribe you a hypoallergenic feed or give them a long-lasting steroid injection which will calm the skin inflammation and itching for a few weeks at a time! If the scratching isn’t due to allergies then your vet will also be able to point you in the right direction.
The medication your vet prescribes will control the underlying issue, such as a yeast infection, and the chews will help maintain skin and coat health.
