Review: Native Book Publishing - Be Careful Before You Sign ⭐ 1/5 I’m writing this review to warn other authors considering Native Book Publishing. The pricing was far above market. The quote I was given was roughly 300% higher than what comparable publishing services charge. When I looked into it, I found the same services available elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. The costs kept growing after I signed. Once the agreement was signed, the company started adding new services I had not expected, including an additional $2,500 for publishing on different platforms. That was never made clear up front, and it felt like the real price only came out after I was committed. Communication changed after payment. Before signing, the sales team was responsive and encouraging. Afterward, I felt pressured into upsells instead of being given clear answers about what was already included in my package. My advice to other authors: Get every service and fee in writing before you sign Ask directly whether distribution to other platforms is included Compare quotes from at least two or three other publishers or self-publishing services Read the whole agreement carefully, especially anything about add-ons I expected transparency and fair pricing, and that is not what I experienced. I cannot recommend this company. Tips before you post: Only include details that are true and that you can back up (contracts, invoices, emails). Factual, first-hand reviews are protected, while exaggerated claims can cause problems. I wrote “in my experience” style wording on purpose and avoided words like “scam” or “fraud,” which can create legal risk if you can’t prove them. If you’d like, add specifics such as the date you signed, the total you were quoted, and the final amount you were charged. Concrete numbers make the review more credible. Consider also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau or the FTC (ftc.gov) if you believe you were misled.
