My experience was great because of the unique services that you provide and no other therapist or company even comes close to touching on such sensitive topics. My experience was also disappointing for the self-paced learning environment because the videos are outdated. The website is difficult to navigate and old posts and information from 2022 is posted first so it is hard to find latest posts and assignments. The partner group takes too long to review everyone's situation and history. The partners are also confused on where the husbands are in the program and how the assignments are supposed to be completed.

This program allows you to discover yourself in a positive manner while dealing with a deep seated personality challenge. It is a self help program that allows you to go at your own speed with great feedback from folks that are dealing with the same issues.

Craig is very personable, highly supportive, knowledgable, and clearly concerned for the welfare of his clients. For me, he could spend less time talking about where we are going and how we will get there, and more time teaching how I am going to get there.

Craig has built quite a large and supportive virtual community for people identifying as male who are experiencing sexual compulsions to come together and support each other in growth. As well as offering support for their partners, who are experiencing trauma from their counterpart's sexual compulsion. The environment is extremely supportive, and allowed me to share experiences I was having during recovery without fear of judgment. This helped me move past fear which was imperative for my overall recovery from sexual compulsion. The program is affordable and effective for everyone, as long as you come into it with the intent to live a mindful life. The feedback I have for the program is: - Some members obviously need more intensive therapy, and can tend to take up time on calls for extremely specific topics. If there is a way to make the calls more structured, and focused then that would have helped me feel more engaged during calls, as well as, draw those who are silent on calls without video on to participate and get more out of each call. - As a male in their 20s, the demographic of the program is predominantly 20-30 years older than I am so I felt alone in some of my experiences. As well, it was difficult to relate to the older males when we are in totally different stages of life.

If you're frustrated at being frustrated, tired of being tired, and feel licked by your behavioral compulsion (such as porn addiction), this program is for us. Frankly, I wanted to get the porn monkey off my back and to feel happy and content again--happy with who I am, happy with what I have, and happy with my family and friends. We all know self-interest is the most motivating factor. Yeah, our actions hurt others; but, too bad for them, right? Nothing is as motivating as what's in it for ME. And, feeling good and joyful in life without the weight of that porn monkey on my back was the sweet elixir I craved. I saw the results almost immediately. I got to know myself better. I got to experience fellowship from others going through similar challenges. The group sessions allowed me to "see around the corner" through the eyes and experiences of those who were ahead of me in the program, those who have succeeded, and those who have slipped up. Above, I placed "porn addiction" in parenthesis because the methodology can apply to many behavioral compulsions in my view--shopping, gambling, etc. Now, this program is not a panacea. It's not a turnkey solution. No one will be spoon-feeding you like you are a helpless infant. You have to do the hard work on yourself. You will slip up. But, you will understand your slip up. You will foresee your slip-up coming at you like seeing a car wreak in slow motion moments before the impact. The skills and tools offered in this program make this possible. That's the level of self-awareness I achieved with this approach. "Put it in a balloon and let it go," is the advice a counselor once gave me before I found The Mindful Habit. I'm not a "put it in a balloon" person--my brain does not work that way. I need to understand motives, consequences, and strategies for problem-solving and for self-recovery when l slip up. I got that with this program. Although I signed up for the group program I ended up using the self-guided video series more and only occasionally checked in with the group. Nor have I availed myself of an accountability partner. Having said that, I do recommend most sign up for the group program as a minimum because it offers that safety net. There's no one to spot you when you're by yourself. I felt my group involvement was helpful for the reasons stated above. I now see why graduates of this program continue to participate and contribute to the community of recovering porn addicts. It's a plus that they do offer such post-program continued support. It's an asset to the program and to the incoming new enrollees. Craig Perra, who launched this program, is a direct and clear communicator. I don't know if this is a natural skill or acquired through his background as an attorney. Nevertheless, he has the gift of clarity and he's able to cut through emotional and psychobabble noise in which we drown ourselves. And, because he's a recovering porn addict himself, he knows the bulls**t we subject ourselves to and he knows the bulls**t we project to fake our way with our families, work, society, etc. You can't bulls**t a bulls****er is apropos. I hope I may continue to contribute to new members after completion of my formal program so as to allow others to "see around corners."
