LaddersReviews of theladders.com

I have had numerous opportunities provided via the Ladders tools. Although none have led to a job offer (yet), I have had recruiters submit me for many, have had phone interviews and have been pleased with what has occurred so far.

The tool is easy to use and is very powerful, I have got results from using this website. I highly recommend The Ladders.

I am not finding the types of jobs I want because this site lacks a good filter for "international Sales". I have found this site to be less helpful than others due to having to go through leads that don't fit my search. Especially when using the free version. Indeed and glassdoor does a better job...sorry.

While I have applied to many postings on TheLadders, I have not had a great response. I appreciate that it only gives me postings for positions I have specified, but It would be helpful if posters could provide feedback to applicants. I can see that people have received my application, downloaded my resume, but then I never hear anything else, including if the position was filled. I have also found that the number of sales jobs far outnumber other positions. Hope this helps.

I like the mostly simple (one page/almost instant) application process. Sending a resume is far more efficient than a multi-page application asking for the same information that's on a resume in the first place! But that's an applicant's perspective; employers might have a different take and I'd like to think they have good reasons (do they?) for complicating the process :). There are some leads that direct you to a different website, but I've found for the most part that the application process is very simple & straightforward. I love that. Coupled with the fact that one has access to recruiter information, the ability to see profile views, track positions applied to & interested in makes The Ladders the best site I've used so far. The quality of the leads and level of professionalism is also commendable. Being able to compare myself to other applicants interested in the same positions I am is another feature I love. Thanks Ladders!

I think you guys could add a lot of value based on what I have seen. Unfortunately, to pay for your service in order to apply for jobs, when folks are trying to get back in the work place is a slap in the face!!

I feel that it is very frustrating when they send a bunch of great sounding job opportunities, but if I want to apply I have to be a paid member. I understand their rational on utilizing this as a marketing ploy to convert basic users into paying customers, but there's no incentive. How do I know that as soon as I pay, these amazing jobs won't suddenly disappear, which is what has happened with other sites. They should let you apply for maybe 3 premium jobs a month, then if the job seeker gets excited by the prospect, they will want to sign up, myself included

The site is flooded by recruiters who paste vague descriptions for jobs, salary ranges of $40-$200 (I actually saw that on a job listing), and they do not tell you who the company is. How can you write a provoking cover letter for that? The tool itself is rather useless. I see no real need in being able to compare myself with other applicants. I think it also causes applicants to waste time because they are busy seeing who they are "competing" with. I get emails with "exclusive" passes to apply to jobs that clearly are not aligned with the skills I listed in my profile. Most of the time, its a recruiter posting so once again, you do not know who the company is. How is that exclusive? Also, I get emails for "Job openings near New York" and all of the job openings are in Washington or Kentucky. I think there is a LOT of work to be done to make this tool worthwhile. I can be a product manager if you are looking for one.
