Fungal Infection
We ordered 4 discus, 2 clown plecos, and a rainbow fish. We thought everything was fine. Well a few days ago we thought our whole tank had ick, so we started to treat and nothing was working. Now all of our discus have a fungal infection and are dying. It’s super disappointing. We spent close to two hundred dollars with this company. The actual process of ordering the fish was fine. They arrived in a timely manner. It’s just very disheartening when you spend so much money on fish that end up killing about 20 other fish in your tank. I am not sure that this is a fair representation of the company, I know that some things they cannot control but just a heads up. Additionally, we had not added anything to our tank in over 6 months and everything was perfect, including water Quality.

Hello Tamra; We're very sorry to hear about the status of your aquarium. Since ich is caused by a protozoan parasite, and you are mentioning a fungal infection we are wondering which it is, what the fish look like at this point and what you used for treatment. We'd certainly like to help in recommending treatment and also compare tank parameters that we keep our Discus at and the environment they were introduced into. This is not saying that you had bad tank parameters but we have sometimes seen others maintain their Discus at different tank parameters and when ours arrive they become stressed by their new environment and prone to illness. Nevertheless, we'd certainly like to explore exactly what happened here because you placed a fairly large order with us. If you'd be willing to open communication with us, we'd be happy to explore this further. A good start would be for you to email us your tank parameters, appearance/behavior of the fish upon arrival and now as well as tankmates to [email protected]. We would like to help rectify the situation and turn this around for you. We thank you for your honest feedback and hope you will take us up on our offer of further investigation.
