Hello Darlene; Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. In looking at your order, we noticed that you ordered the 2" Juvenile Discus. It is very common for Juveniles to appear muted in color and one strain sometimes undistinguishable from another. They begin to develop their vibrant colors and differentiating markings as they reach adulthood assuming ideal tank parameters and a healthy diet. That being said, we'd be happy to help you identify the different strains if you'd like to send some photos into us at [email protected]. You have an assortment of Discus with Reds or Blues as a primary base color and as juveniles may be hard to distinguish. We hope you'll take us up on our offer and reach out to us. Hello Toby; Our apologies for missing your email about the requested shipping date. A suggestion for any future orders you may place with us....We provide a Notes/Comments section on Your Cart page where you can add any special instructions. That has proven to be a more reliable way for us to receive any requests on orders. However, we understand there are times when these requests come up after the order has been placed and an email is necessary. So on our end, we will do a better job on addressing order changes/requests we receive via email. We are glad you are pleased with the fish. Hello Michael; Thank you for your feedback. In our Assorted Pack of 2" Discus, we include 2 each from 5 different strains that we carry. Just a note about the strains and coloring. The 2" Discus are juveniles and their full brilliant colors and distinct markings have not yet fully formed. As juveniles, they will have a very muted appearance and are often challenging to differentiate between strains. Some may have a similar foundational color but distinctive markings or patterns which are not fully apparent until they reach adulthood. But being juveniles, we can understand why you may be disappointed in the variations. If you would like us to help you identify the different Discus you ordered, we would be happy to do that. If you would be willing to send us photos of the Discus to [email protected], we can communicate with you and assist in the proper identification. We hope you take us up on his offer and that you see the distinct difference between the Discus as they mature in the proper tank conditions and are feed a healthy diet. Hello John; We feed our Discus frozen bloodworms. In general, in order to provide a healthy diet for your Discus and ensure proper growth, we recommend that you use a high protein diet with feeding 2 - 3 times per day. Suggested foods include: Frozen Bloodworms, Frozen Brine Shrimp, Flake Food and Beef Heart.
