These fish are typically shipped young and small (around ~1-1.5") to ensure better adaptation to new environments and longer lifespan in your tank. We understand that expectations can vary, and we always aim to be as transparent as possible in our listings. As for shipping, it’s priced to cover the cost of insulated packaging, oxygenated bags, and overnight delivery to ensure the safe arrival of live fish. There is no hidden cost or profit on our end when it comes to shipping. That said, we truly appreciate your order and are always here if you'd like to discuss further or give us another shot in the future.

We do our best to ensure healthy arrivals and provide guidance to support successful acclimation, which is why we request detailed tank parameters. Unfortunately, without the full information, it’s difficult to pinpoint what may have gone wrong. We'd still like to help — if you're open to it, please send us the missing parameters (like ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, temperature, etc.) as well as tankmates that we requested in our email to you and we’ll do everything we can to troubleshoot with you. This is completely normal and part of their natural growth process. As they mature, with a healthy diet and ideal tank conditions, their distinctive colors and patterns will develop beautifully. However, we can’t overlook that many factors can affect the health of Discus fish, including water parameters, acclimation processes, tank size, and tank mates.
