I gave a 3 star rating because the discus fish I ordered (1 golden yellow 4” ,2 blue 2”) are hardly the color I saw in the picture. The “golden yellow” is 90% white with brown on the bottom and the two blues are mostly brown. Both invertebrates are dead. I found the white one dead this morning. Honestly I don’t even want the 3 discus fish I ordered from ifish in my tank because they’re ugly. As soon as I can find someone to take them I’ll be giving them away. All in all I guess you get what you pay for. My fault.

Hi Shaun; We replied to your last post where you said the "fish were ok" but it seems you've had a turn of events and opinion and we'd like the opportunity to address it. You mentioned your invertebrates perished and we typically offer a credit on a future order or a refund on these. Also, we're sorry you now seem to be disappointed in your Discus. You had ordered a 2" Blue Diamond Discus and at this size they are still considered juveniles and do not develop their distinctive colors until they reach adulthood at ~ 6mos. However, we've never heard our juvenile Blue Diamonds described as being brown in color. That is perplexing to us. Also, you described your two Golden Yellow Discus as being 90% white. Our Golden Yellow Discus do have white in the forefront of their body which is normal for this type of Discus. However, and again, we're perplexed that you say they are 90% white. Nonetheless, we would like you to be satisfied with your entire purchase from The iFISH Store. If you are willing, would you drop us an email at [email protected] and (1) let us know if you would prefer a a credit on a future order or a refund for the two perished invertebrates and (2) include photos of the 3 Discus you are not happy with. The photos will help us determine how to proceed to help rectify the situation. I liked the Fish they were really healthy

Customer service is great. Frank was quick to answer questions about shipments and care for fish. Ordered 14 discus in Feb and Frank delayed shipping due to extreme weather was definately a good call. 2 DOA and IFISH offered refund or credit on next purchase. 12 that survived were eating in a day and are doing great. Unfortunately the quality if discus is hit or miss. Ordered 9 more discus in March. 3 Blue Diamonds were thin razor backs that are in quarantine still and I dont think they will make it. Super reds are also struggling and refuse to eat anything but a minimal amount of brine shrimp. Free Golden discus was beautiful and pigeons are of good quality. I do recommend IFish but remember you will almost always get what you pay for from any online retailer.

Hi Manny; Thank you for your feedback. We made a solid effort to provide the most competitive pricing on both shipping and the cost of our fish. We researched all online competitors and arrived at the pricing schedule you see on our site. Some may think our flat shipping rate of $39.99 regardless of order size is high but the truth is that it is less than we actually pay to ship a standard 7 lb box that contains appropriately packed water and fish via UPS Next Day Air. Also, if you make a side by side comparison with other online providers, our pricing is very affordable and competitive. We are appreciative of your business and certainly hope you will consider ordering from us again in the future.

Order came in alive and looked good. The only reason I would not give a 5 is because I was not notified that my shipment was being delayed and I had to email 5 days later to find out details.

Hello Ryan; We apologize for the delay in communication. It was in the middle of the Polar Vortex hitting the northern sections of the US and we were getting go/no go information by the minute from all of our suppliers and shippers. We tried to keep all customers up-to-date when the information was solid but it was rarely consistent and we were facing 30 below weather in some situations and just didn’t want to risk shipping fish. Nevertheless, we did send you an email when we finally shipped but we appreciate your input on the in-between communications and will certainly develop better communication procedures for these unusual weather related situations.

The reason for the three stars is because the quality of the fishes are not as high. Not a high quality fish. Some minor deformed tails.
