The Journey We Need
Since starting this journey, I have more energy and started feeling like myself again. I have diabetes, SIBO or IBS and osteoporosis with fractures in my spine. I have been to physical therapy and continue to do the exercises they gave me. I’m now painting doors and trim, even outdoor furniture, gardening a little bit and feeling great about myself. I have always known who I am in Christ but the osteoporosis really knocked me off my feet and know I’m back to doing Bible studies. Be patient and kind to yourself. Pray a lot, meditate and it is ok to just rest.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeMay 29, 2026
Hi Susan, Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your encouragement with others. It’s truly wonderful to hear that you have more energy and are starting to feel like yourself again. We loved reading about you getting back to activities like painting, gardening, and staying active with the exercises you've worked so hard to maintain. Those everyday moments can mean so much, especially after walking through difficult seasons. We were also especially touched by your perspective on faith. Hearing that you’ve been able to return to Bible studies and reconnect with things that are meaningful to you is incredibly encouraging. Your reminder to be patient and kind to yourself, to rest when needed, and to stay grounded in prayer is such a thoughtful message for others who may be navigating their own health challenges. Thank you as well for sharing your journey so openly. We’re grateful to have been part of it and are so happy to hear that you’re feeling encouraged and moving forward with renewed confidence. With respect, The Health Institute Team
