Hope Came in a Video
Well today is my 69th Birthday and no better way then to celebrate by sharing some encouraging words about The Health Institute. From day one I hopeful. I came into this, knowing it was my last ditch effort to try to bring my body back into balance. With rheumatoid arthritis, severe nerve damage in my left foot, arthritis in so many places and being in 24/7 pain for over 10 years. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. It might be expensive to join this plan, but nothing else I was doing was working and no medication was helping. So my attitude from day, one was … “ you go for it girl” and “you’re in the army now!” Give it your 100% ! I haven’t been perfect in everything but, I can say I’ve been at 90% and everything. And there are many days where I’ve been 100% on. Life throws things at you that you can’t avoid. You just have to work your way through it and get back to center as quickly as possible. The one thing I heard someone say in a video I watched was put on your own oxygen mask first . That has really stuck with me. I have never been a person to put on my oxygen mask first I always put others first. And sometimes I fall back into that pattern, but quickly remember what she said and then I do an about face and put on my own oxygen mask first. I have learned to say no. That’s a first. It was never about losing weight even though I needed to. It was about healing my cells and getting my body back into rhythm of health. To my surprise, the weight loss has been amazing. If anything that Dr Axe sends me doesn’t agree with my system they find out what will and we try something else and I really appreciate that attention. My health coach Koren has been very wonderful to work with. I’ve never been one to venture out of my comfort zone of foods but, I have been challenged to do so and to come up with new ways of eating. That’s been the biggest challenge. But I’m doing it. I love the list of foods they gave me to choose from and the recipes were a great help when starting this program. I greatly appreciate the truth and the facts behind what food can do to your body whether it be harmful or helpful they tell you the truth. My husband shared with me the other night that he noticed I haven’t been complaining about all the pain I’m in. I have been feeling better. 😊 I’m looking forward to saying goodbye to all of this horrible inflammation in my body. I know it will continue to go down! I have faith and I have hope! I’m not alone in this journey! That in itself is a great gift. Dr Axe is so encouraging in the things he says and shares. I really appreciate his method , his knowledge and his attitude. I hope this encourages someone today. You’re worth every penny! You’re worth every sacrifice it may take to get where you want to be in your own body and health. God bless each one. Gotta run now. Time to eat! Terri P.S. 70 is looking exciting!
