⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, but Android setup was frustrating
I absolutely love the FlightWall device — it’s a great size, looks fantastic, and I was really excited to get it set up and running.
Unfortunately, I had quite a few problems getting it working on Android. As it turned out, the issues coincided with a problem affecting Android, which was disappointing and made the setup experience much more frustrating than it should have been.
Once everything was sorted, I was really happy with the FlightWall and what it offers. One feature I would love to see in the future is the ability to select a wider radius when viewing flights, rather than being limited to a smaller area.
Overall, I really like the product and think it’s a great addition for anyone who enjoys keeping an eye on flights. Just hoping the Android setup experience becomes a little smoother! ✈️😊

I am generally happy with MyFlightWall
I am generally happy with MyFlightWall. It does a great job of updating me on what is flying overhead. However, my primary reason for purchasing a FlightWall was to track my son who currently flies for a smaller private passenger charter company. He flys single & twin engine aircraft, and files flight plans for each flight. Unfortunately, FlightWall often does not display either his departure or arrival info (including departure/arriving airport or time). MyRadar and FlightAware are far superior in that regard. Regardless, it gives me enough info, I just track more closely using those apps, and I would highly recommend the purchase of a FlightWall to any flying enthusiast!!!

Excellent product, 100% would recommend
I bought the mini Flightwall as a gift for the aviation enthusiast in my life, but I'm the one who's hooked. I had no idea how many planes and helicopters pass through each day, or how many interesting places they're coming from and heading to. It's fascinating to watch.
The only hiccup was setup: the Flightwall only connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, so I had to adjust my router settings. Once that was sorted, it's been perfect.

All and all it was a great experience
All and all it was a great experience. Original unit had a faulty network connection. They sent me a second unit quickly which worked just fine. Highly recommend it :)

Pretty cool. Takes a bit of time to fine tune.
Initially, I didn't realize that I needed the app on my phone before setting up. I surmised that the QR code on the screen would bring me to the app store to get the app, as seems to be the normal way. Once I realized this, I downloaded the app and used the QR code to log into the unit. You have to hold the phone very far away from it, but it did work. It connects quickly and responds to the app better than most "smart" devices that you have to WiFi connect to initially to set them up. It also took a bit of clicking around to find where I could change a setting to show the flight number.
It is on the bookcase behind my desk, and people ask about it on Video calls.

Setup experience was very disappointing (but see the reponse from the Flightwall team)
Connecting my Flightwall was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. First of all, while I'm not a computer and WiFi expert, I'm generally pretty good at these tech matters. Here's my experience:
I wasted about an hour trying to connect using the Flightwall app on my Android phone. I followed all the procedures in the manual and on the app. I could see the Flightwall WiFi network when I checked available networks. There just was no way that the setup process would take me any farther, no matter what I tried. It always displayed the "failure to connect" pop-up message.
Before giving up, I decided to load the app onto my iPad. Lo and behold! The setup process was successfully completed...but not after having to unplug the Flightwall and restart it. (That's not a big deal, but it's just one more annoyance.)
Yes, it's working now, but I started with high hopes of a simple, straightforward setup experience. I experienced anything but.
[09/23/2026] I would like to make some additions to my original post. First of all, I'd like to acknowledge the response from the Flightwall team. It appears that they have fixed the problem that Android users were having with the setup. While I have not verified this (as noted above, I was able to use my iPad for the setup once I got frustrated with the Andoid issue), I have no reason to doubt that they have resolved the Android problem.
I would also like to add that, now that I have become more familiar with my Flightwall, I really do like it very much. It's not perfect, but it is very, very cool, and I'm gonna keep it!

Hard to rate as I cant connect Flightwall, device accepts only 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi but I have 5 GHz.
Any ideas what I should do?

Unit works as stated
Unit works as stated. However, using the altitude or speed filter results in an occasional unknown departure or unknown arrival error. Not using a filter results in constant overflow of flights due to heavy traffic.
