TheFlightWallReviews of theflightwall.com

For anyone interested in aviation, this product offers an entertaining platform to watch aircraft with. As someone not so tech minded, the setup was fairly straight forward, and the settings navigable to get the personal look you want. A drawback would be its limited range of coverage. I use the radius mode and although I capture a fair bit of activity , I wish it could cover more area. You can set it for multiple areas , but are still limited to a maximum area of 1000sq kms in total .I am hoping that at some point ,a software update will open up a larger range of coverage.

I've enjoyed my experience so far with the FlightWall. My only comment would be that it should be clarified that the coverage areas are cumulative when creating additional areas. There was a bit of confusion getting that straightened out to get the areas defined to my satisfaction. Beyond that it's been a nice background decoration for my quiet space.

Cool product but so far customer service is lacking. I have tried multiple times for my wall to register imperial not metric. I contacted customer service via email & fb and still haven’t heard back.

So much fun! Reasonable shipping delay (near Montreal)! I’m getting used to fiddling with the detection fence points (a bit challenging on an iPhone), much easier to use a radius but sometimes high-altitude fly-by’s are visible by their vapour trails but out of detection radius on Flight Wall. So I thought I’d create a long, skinny zone but flights zip through and disappear from FW while I can still see them. Is two circles possible?

The FlightWall is great for any aviation enthusiast. I bought one for myself and it's roped one of my kids in. We spot a plane on the flightwall, run outside and on clear days we usually have no trouble seeing it up in the sky. Only complaints is the screen switches to "configuring" at times; usually when it does that, the origin and destination shows N/A. Not sure how to resolve that, it's happened several times. Very fun device though.

The FlightWall is a fun addition to our home. We love watching the planes that are in our area. We were also able to track our son's flight and loved see what city he was flying over. It's worked smoothly most of the time, but we did run into one issue where it stopped tracking the flight and we couldn't get it to work again. We tried rebooting etc. We let it be for a while and when we came back to it, we rebooted again and it worked.

Ok so connecting to home WiFi was not as straightforward as thought but I was still ready to go within 10 mins. Being super critical, more display options and the ability to focus on a specific airport as well as individual flights would be nice too. That said, this is a really well designed and manufactured bit of kit that's an absolute must for anyone interested in aviation and I'd definitely recommend.

It’s a product that deserves more work, work that can be done somehow easily. The good: compact and blends with any decor. It’s fun to track what’s flaying over you or any area you fancy. App easy to navigate. The bad: sometimes it takes long to load new configurations and when checking airport movements sometimes it takes too long to show the aircraft. Costumer needs to understand it’s a novelty that it is still in the works and I hope little issues will be ironed out in time, hopefully sooner than later. I use it for work to keep me updated on whichever aircraft I’m gong to be working on. Unfortunately is not showing the tail numbers I need to keep track of. But good enough to keep track the airport or flight numbers. From GCI
