I have not been happy about the increase in annual fees for The Events Calendar Pro ($150 when I started using it; $999 today), but the support this year has been excellent. Whenever I've encountered a problem or needed help, the support team has responded within hours with a solution. Most recently, Avtar delivered a solution that made my client happy (and therefore me happy, too).

I ran into an Events Calendar problem and so reached out for support. Turns out there was a bug in Event Tickets Plus. They reported it to the development team but then, in the meantime, created a PHP snippet as a workaround. Just tested it and the problem is resolved. Everyone I worked with--Abhisake, Eduardo, and, most recently, Avtar--were clear, patient, and very helpful.

I posted an issue on a Friday night and received a response almost immediately on Saturday morning. Furthermore the response was carefully considered with several recommendations for action. When a further issue was encountered later in the weekend, a response on Sunday led to full resolution. Very impressive support.

Using The Events Calendar on WordPress alongside the Promoter add-on has been one of the most frustrating software experiences I've had in years. On paper, Promoter promises automated event marketing. In reality, it routinely drops scheduled email dispatches, breaks category segments, and fails to sync reliably. The worst part has been customer support. After weeks of endless back-and-forth, repeating troubleshooting steps, and providing logs, support finally acknowledged these are known bugs. However, there is zero resolution, no workaround provided, and absolutely no timeline or ETA in place to fix them. Being left in limbo with unresolved critical bugs on a paid plugin is completely unacceptable. I bought Promoter to save time through automation, but I’ve spent far more hours writing support tickets and fighting the software than actually running my site.
