Very dishonest business. I thought it would be nice to have a small stock of freeze-dried food, which they delivered just fine. But I like many users was unwittingly placed in their subscription service thinking it was a one-off purchase. And to my horror it was WEEKLY! I could have checked my email, but I have a busy inbox and was also having a rough week, just to have this piled on top. When I complained after managing to find the option to unsubscribe, they essentially just went “oh well, we already shipped it.” Shameless.

Same issue. Deceptively subscribed me to a weekly shipment.....claimed I got a warning email two days before shipment which was a lie.....and even though I emailed to cancel 30 seconds after I got the confirmation email they said it had already been sent to the distribution so couldn't be canceled. Certainly not the way to build a business, regardless of what the food tastes like i will never buy again.

I was lured into purchasing a meal box with an offer of discount. I meant to make a one time purhase to try it out but I found out I accidentally signed up for a weekly subscription! I feel tricked into signing up for a subscription I didn't intend. It was maddeningly complicated to cancell the subscription also.

Just like other 1 star reviews, I too was hit with the unwitting subscription to food. Yes, the food is decent, but weekly charges when NOT clearly identified as a subscription has proven to be a costly result for me. DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO THIS TRAP!!! It is cheaper to go out to an Indian restaurant and freeze leftovers than deal with these very dishonest business practices.

The food is good. Dishonest subscription process. Like other reviewers, I did not realize I was signed up to receive the next order ONE WEEK after my first order. They did send an email letting me know that I'd be getting my 2nd shipment in 2 days, saying I needed to make changes within 24 hours. I asked for a refund within that time, but then they said it had already been processed and I couldn't get a refund. (However, they said that I could change my meals. I don't understand why they can't just cancel it if I was able to change my meals.) I actually like their meals, but I'm so offended by their unwillingness to refund and shady sign-up process that I don't want to give them my business.

Dishonest checkout and cancellation process. I only saw I was subscribed to a weekly service when I got the email. Nothing at checkout to indicate this When you go to cancel, they purposely disable the unsubscribe on the final screen on mobile phone. I had to go to a PC to cancel after reading someone's review here. I cancelled even before I tried and received the first order , not doing business with a company with no integrity.

I placed my first order with The Cumin Club, expecting a smooth experience backed by their advertised "First Order Guarantee." Instead, the courier logged three consecutive failed delivery attempts, with customer support later admitting in writing that the parcel is completely stalled and undergoing managerial investigation. When I reached out to Cumin Club customer support to request a refund under their guarantee policy, they refused, forcing me to wait indefinitely while their courier conducts an internal audit. Under UK consumer law, retailer responsibility rests with the merchant, not their courier's delays. Extremely disappointing onboarding for a first-time customer. I would advise caution when purchasing if you expect reliable delivery or responsive support when issues arise.
