We had a family get-together celebrating a birthday. It was a large party so we got there early by about forty minutes. We were seated at the bar where we waited for our entire party and we ordered appetizers and beverages. The service became very slow and we were told it was because the bartender was swamped. There were a total of 40 people in the entire bar when the manager came over to ask that our larger party wait in the lobby area as the smaller tables were complaining of slow service! We were a quiet group of over 40 professionals and our parents. We were also told that because we were waiting for dinner we were not supposed to be in the bar??? If I did not know better I would say this was a racial issue. But one can never tell. Seems more like a staffing issue that was not coordinated well for a busy Saturday. Nonetheless, we will never eat there again for any reason. I will never schedule any business lunches there. The service was slow. The management was non-responsive. They do not seem to do well for groups over seven, especially if they are of color. Still not sure there was not an issue of race. However, I am going to do more to learn if that was in fact why there were so many problems with the amount of money they made that evening.

I went in to speak to a manager on duty about a job on Friday August 9, 2022. When I got into the place, the host called him on the phone and said he was wanted up front. Mind you, I had called twice before I even wasted my gas and rode down there and I was put on hold twice; one of the times I waited almost 10 minutes before I hung up because no manager picked up after I was transferred. (So the reason why I had to physically go down there) so that was the first problem I noticed. After about 8 minutes the manager still did not come up front to see who wanted to speak to him, so I went back to the girl and asked her “hey do you think if I was a customer would he take this long to come to speak to me?” and then I sort of laughed it off shrugging my shoulders. She then calls to the back for the manager because there was someone waiting to speak to him again and tells me to go sit in front of the bar and wait on him. So once again I did and she instructed me too. Finally he walks my way and goes to speak to her who needed him. This sneaky host then lied and told him that I was being very rude to her and giving her problems. The manager then comes over and asked me what did I needed, and I told him why I was there. He didn’t listen to me at all , cut me off and he said that the young girl said I was rude to her. I looked at him in bewilderment and I explained I wasn’t being rude to her at all and I had been waiting on him for ten minutes. He rudely, interrupted me said he wasn’t going to continue with this meeting and he asked me to leave the store. I couldn’t believe it! I’ve never been treated like that whatsoever when coming to a restaurant to speak to a manager. He was very unprofessional and quite rude. As I was leaving the place, I noticed mostly Hispanic employees were working that day and I thought to myself, if I had spoke Spanish to that girl when I first walked in then none of that would have happened. I felt racially discriminated against at this point. All in all, they all did me a favor, I’m so glad I saw this behavior now and not later. I’m definitely too good for this place. It is Their loss, and just like always, a way better opportunity with a more professional business will get my business and time to be of service to customers. Now, I see the other bad reviews on here too, so Cheesecake Factory y’all need to get it together because your customer service skills suck big time. And when you see it coming from the manager himself, then you know that’s not the place to be! 🫣🤯😳

I went to the cheesecake factory and ordered a chicken sandwich. I proceed to eat it when I saw a long 8" piece of hair in it! Disgusting!!!! Don't go there!

I was dining in today at Northstar with a few friends and one of your managers were raising her voice at an employee about setting up a table. This young man then told her another employee was getting ready to do it and she started raising her voice to the point as if she was talking to her child.. saying she wants it done now!!!! As He walked away another bus boy begin setting up the table. I am not sure where the one she was yelling at went but she should not be treating others like this, especially in front of customers., Luckily this was not my child or she would have got smack. The next time I saw him he was walking out the door. Not sure if they fire him or not but he was really upset. the manager in question was short and chubby, I think Mexican or something with dark color hair

One of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever experienced. Sherman oaks galleria Cheesecake Factory misidentified someone in our party as supposedly previously hitting on a waitress and incorrectly thought the general manager had refused future service. Not only were they wrong, and failed to apologize for their error — but people in general, let alone servers, get hit on. That’s life, and frankly a compliment. We emailed corporate, and they stayed silent — just like Sherman oaks management. Cheesecake Factory is repugnant in their conduct, should be ashamed of themselves, and should reevaluate how they treat customers in general, let alone business professionals like me who used to dine there multiple times a week. I’m disgusted!

Visiting from England and have been previously and loves it. Went today and all I have to say is very poor service was poor waited a long time for entrees and others served after us received their food before us. My food arrived early and my husbands and sons still not served. My husband decided to cancel his order as he was disgusted with the service. Their excuse was waiting for fries. Would have gone somewhere else if our son wasn’t really hungry. I couldn’t eat all mine and it put a real dampener on the whole experience. It’s not cheap and have to say we won’t be going back. I did not leave a tip for service as to me you only tip for good service this was not good service at all!!

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at this establishment. I brought my 77 year-old mother here for dinner on 8/1/2022 at approximately 6:30pm. The only plus is that we were seated right away, however, we watched others around us, who were seated after us, receive their main entrees first. Given there was a couple behind us who appeared to have some friends in the kitchen received preferential treatment; that was not what upset me. What really made my blood boil was that there were larger parties seated after us who received their entrees before us. I ordered a beet and avocado salad, while my mother ordered the Chicken Riesling-two very uncomplicated dishes to make. There was a family of three, across from us,. who received their order before us, and were seated after us. Another couple behind me came over 20 minutes after us and received their main order before us. My mother was very upset, as she has to eat at a certain time due to her disability, so she approached a waiter and told them what was happening. He referred us to a manager, a rotund and frumpish middle-aged woman by the name of Karina. She was very rude and unapologetic about the matter. I told them the optics of this event appeared to look very racist, as we were the only Black people seated in that area. This apparently was of no concern to them. She practically shrugged us off and waved us away. I stood there in astonishment as she hobbled away toward the kitchen with not even the slightest attempt at an apology. I left with my mother in a furious mood as I realized that I had to pay for valet. I returned inside and beckoned for the homely manager and asked to have my valet covered. She quipped, "Valet is covered by the city, not us!" I am not certain if that is entirely true, as the signage on their stand clearly says, "The Cheesecake Factory Valet"!!! After doing some further research on the Better Business Bureau website, I have learned that this establishment has issues with discrimination. They apparently don't like Black people, people in the LGBTQ community, and people who are disabled. That is just the tip of the iceberg because I am still combing through the many complaints on the BBB website where I am finding these sort of complaints. The kicker here is the BBB actually doesn't handle discrimination complaints, that's for the Attorney General, but people have felt compelled to still leave these complaints. So, to say the least, there are probably many more discrimination complaints out there, and guess what? There will definitely be another!

I called the Cheesecake Factory to book a reservation for a party of 6. I was told by the phone representative that I needed to make a reservation on line but before I hung up from her, I told her that my party would be 6 and that I wanted to be seated on the patio; however when I arrived on the day of my reservation, I asked could we have seating on the patio and I was told that only a party of 4 could be on the patio. I asked for the manager and the manager said it was their policy not to seat no more than 4 to a party on the patio. I told him that the person I spoke with initially, should have told me that. I understand their policy now, but the employee should have been prepared to tell me the policy of no more than 4 on the patio. The food was good but it took a long time to get our food. The manager did apologize but NEVER offered us with apologetic complimentary soft drinks or something. I think that would have been a gesture of an apology. The date was July 31, 2022 and our reservation was at 1:00pm. I was very disappointed with being in the dark until my party arrived the day of our reservation.
