overall met some cool people i would say open the whatsapp group to allow us to send messages so people can communicate with each other - this has helped in other conferences i attended, it’s locked to only admins but if everyone could have introduced themselves we could have strategically targeted connections that could help each other in the same field or business etc

I really liked the space to interact with youth from all around the world and I really liked both workshops. But I think that youth statements could be more spread because it's really interesting to hear everybody bit at the end it becomes heavy. Also maybe could be nice to separate in small groups and there talk about our statements or some topic and pick the favorite one or create a new one all together and present it to all after

I really love how diverse it is. But yeah, I do think it’s a bit much to talk about military as it is sensitive to many. I would want more talks on advocacy, because all of us are rooted in that. Great work though!

I just attended the World Youth Forum in Porto, Portugal, from December 20-23, organized by the CDA! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with passionate young leaders from around the globe and discuss pressing global issues. The conference featured intergenerational dialogue, emphasizing meaningful youth engagement in achieving global goals. We developed 100 ideas to promote world peace and participated in a masterclass on policy design thinking for the Sustainable Development Goals. Youth statements were also a great opportunity for young people to speak up during the event! To further improve the program, it would be beneficial to invite some diplomats or high-caliber speakers for a panel discussion outside of the group of participants. Moreover, the event could be better organized by conducting a thorough check of the arrangements. For instance, I filled out the Google form for youth statements but was not given the opportunity to deliver mine during the event. It would also be helpful if a separate tour of Porto was prepared, and a shuttle bus could assist in picking up participants. Lastly, for media activities and interviews, clear instructions would be appreciated, as there were no guidelines on what to do during those time frames. Nevertheless, we are very thankful for the event as well as the funding opportunities (fully, partially, forum access) provided by CDA. Overall, it was a good experience.

a great opportunity to expand knowledge, meet people with different backgrounds and experiences. the admins were well arranged in general. the team did their best to make us feel home. always look for a better tomorrow
