I tried to place and order and it was canceled because it wasn't a minimum of $55.00. Sounds like a ripoff. I am reporting this event to the FEDS.

Hi George, thanks for reaching out. I want to clarify this in a transparent way. We are absolutely not doing anything illegal. Because of shipping costs, tariffs (products are made in Germany), labor, dry ice, and packaging, we require a minimum order value in order to operate sustainably and deliver frozen bread safely. Without a minimum, we simply couldn’t survive as a business. This is very common in online grocery or frozen food shopping. Many retailers set minimum order values or prepacked boxes for the exact same reasons. You’re of course free to decide whether our shop is the right fit for you. But there is nothing improper or misleading about a minimum order value. If you have any questions, I’m always happy to explain how things work on our end.
