Hey there.
Jennifer here. I'm sorry that you're experiencing difficulty, but we are definitely here to fully support our members.
Can you please elaborate on the issues you are experiencing so that we can better assist you? I see that you recently opened a support ticket requesting Google Analytics help and I also see that we have responded to that request. Is there something else that we can assist you with?
Best,
Jennifer

I was hoping for more guidance in the …
I was hoping for more guidance in the 90 day blog instructions. Instead I have to take notes and try to implement the lessons. Also not clear on what you should be doing while taking the steps. Should you be putting out inferior blogs, etc. Id ask for my one year trial money but its over the 14 days. Wish i had stuck with 30 day blog challenge.

Hi Kerry!
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. Looking through your account history in our support system, I do see you had a number of questions that our team was happy to assist with, but I did not find open issues or concerns along the lines of what is mentioned in this review. We do our best to provide the guidance our members need to start and build their blog as part of the members-only 90-day Blogging Success Training, and via the video tutorials.
For those of our members who require more individual one-on-one coaching type of assistance, we also offer the option of one or more coaching calls where we can assist you individually by phone.
I will reach out to you directly via our support system to see how we can better assist you.
Thanks!

Marginal experience
Overall didnt make much progress towards getting a blog started.
Response from BlogPressJan 30, 2017
Hi Peter.
I just looked at your account and you never reached out to our support team for help and did not even start the training. It hardly seems fair that you would give us 2 stars when we never had the opportunity to help you... :(
I hope you'll find it in your heart to update you review of our services - or at least give us the opportunity to help before claiming that your experience was marginal.
Is there a specific issue that you are having? I'll be more than happy to make sure that it gets resolved.

Australian new blogger.
I am in Australia and because there is no 24 hr chat, the response time is slow and if you need to have a chat about something it can take days...really frustrating!
No wonder people give up on blogging!
Response from BlogPressJan 24, 2017
Hi Carol.
I'm really sad as we've never had a 2-star review before :(. I hope that we can remedy that and you will update the rating.
Yes, we are a U.S. based company and our standard office hours are 9am - 6pm central standard time. However, I did research your conversation history with my support team and all tickets were answered the same day (within 24 hours).
The best way to compensate for the time difference is to lump your questions into one request. (I see that there were several back and forths about your domain email address - this is technically not even part of our service and is provided by your domain registrar - in this case I believe that is our domain partner GoDaddy - but it looks like Dan really went above and beyond to help you get it all sorted out.)
There is a lot to learn with blogging and you are correct. That is why most people give up. BlogPress is the only company that will help with the things you've needed help with like domain email, aligning images, setting up your theme, etc.
Please be patient with yourself and with our support team and we will answer all of your questions and help you in any way that we can.
You are welcome to try other services and at this point, I may recommend it so that you do can see how truly awesome BlogPress is. A large number of our customers leave and return because they realize that the grass is not necessarily greener and the level of service and support that we provide is excellent.
As always, let us know if there's anything we can help with.

Hi Cliff.
I feel your frustration, but we do not offer in-person training. BlogPress a blog hosting company, who also provides training via email, video, and online courses. We also provide one-on-one, personal support via email.
It sounds like you may need an in-person coaching program. Please understand that you will not find that for $14.95 per month. The cost for a program like that is more likely to be several hundred to several thousand dollars.
Best of luck to you!

I did not understand much from those tutorials
Hi!
I hate to say that, but those videos to certain extend are meant to people who already are familiar with the environment of wp.
If you wanted to create a real quality tutorials, you should create some example videos and than show to complete beginners and ask them to use them in creating their blogs.
It seems no one has done it before.
I tried to use some videos, but got into some mess. Basically I created some mess. And there were no videos to show me how to solve the problem. And even worse, sometimes there are some other options on my screen compared to what you see on yours. Your videos are too short also and quite unorganized.
First of all, for complete beginner one should explain a bit more in detail to understand what a website or blog is, how it is structured ect. I did not get it from yours. Instead I was and still am looking for loads of other videos elsewhere.
The amount of videos, because they are very short, is amazing too. You quickly get lost.
If I had to start a tutorial, I would like to explain, what a blog, website etc consists of.
For example.
Website is like a book, with many pages. The cover is very important. And than describe some examples of cover.
The website can be organized in many ways. Give some examples as you would for a person, who has seen websites, but does not have a clue about how technologies work at all.
You can not say - no need to use codes. What on earth are codes? Even if someone gives you a short explanation, a persons who only reads on internet, still does not have a clue about it.
There are many ways to organize blog. But nobody tells you what are these options. Firstly one should explain, what are options, by showing it in a simple and easy to grasp way. Than he should explain, what is needed to create this certain type of site, and than, according to what type a user wants, it will be shown him.
Only when he is already familiar with a comprehensive structure of the site building, you can offer a more detailed and advanced videos to enhance on them.
Unfortunately, your videos do neither give a clear comprehension of overall structure, nor detailed explanation of tips and tricks.
And, of course, the content is important.
And yet, I know for shore what I want to see in there and what will be there. But my problem is to create a structure that I myself would like to see there.
I have watched lately huge amount of videos, and now I know, I will need a few sites combined in one to create what I need. And I am not sure can you offer me multi-site blog.
Basically, I am not satisfied with tutorials.

BlogPress would get 5 Stars except for one thing
When a question or problem occurs, it takes too long for a reply or response.
Other than that, BlogPress is great.
Response from BlogPressNov 4, 2015
Hi Anon.
Thank you for your feedback. I have great news! This week we increased our support staff so that we are able to respond to customer requests much faster. Simple requests will receive a reply within a few hours. More complex blog setup requests may take a bit longer depending on the complexity of the request.
Thank you for being a valued customer!
