Worst shipping company ever and rudest employee!
We placed an order from a vendor in Ohio that needed to be shipped by common carrier. In the past, shipments have been sent by common carriers without any difficulty and delivered to our home shop in Virginia. After the expected delivery of March 18 came and went, we attempted to track. The Tforce website showed it was to be delivered on March 18 and it was a week late already. We made several calls to customer service and were told that it had been put on a train and was going to New York and then to Virginia and no one knew where it was. The next call we were told that it was lost and no one knew where it was. We were promised repeated phone calls which never occurred. Since we had to have the item ordered for a job, we finally had to reorder and told them expressly not to ship through Tforce. That item was received at our shop two days after ordering with no difficulty. It arrived by semi as usual. Oddly enough, Tforce's warehouse in Roanoke, Virginia, called the day before we received the second shipment to inform us that they had a shipment to be delivered. Their dispatcher was very concerned that they could not get a semi tractor trailer onto our state road for the delivery. He wanted us to meet them somewhere and pick up the item. I told him that was not going to happen and he became very obnoxious. I explained that the route was clearly accessible, used by semis frequently, and that UPS freight had delivered to us before. He told me "I think not" and repeated that "they would not be delivering to our shop". At that point, I terminated the conversation and called my husband to contact him. It turned out that they were looking at something on Goggle Earth I suppose and were completely in the wrong locale even though they had our complete address, route number and road name. After that conversation, the item was delivered the next day and dropped at our shop. We are of the belief that the item was in the Roanoke warehouse the entire time and they just did not want to deliver it for some reason. A freight company should at least know how to read directions and not treat their customers like this. We prepaid for the freight cost and we have the right to have the freight delivered. There will be no more business done with Tforce from this company. We have been in business almost 30 years and I was appalled that someone would simply tell me that "we will not be delivering your shipment".
