The WORST apartment management company in NYC. Drilling into apartments every single day at 8 Am during pandemic. I would NOT recommend to live here. Overpriced and staff is horrible.

TERRIBLE RESPONSE TO TENANTS NEEDING EXCEPTIONS MADE DURING COVID-19. I am a California resident who signed a lease that started March 1st. I was planning to officially relocate at the end of March but then there were shelter in place mandates started around March 15 in both CA and NY. I originally asked if they could lower my rent since it was not financially feasible for me to live in CA and pay rent in NY, they said no. I then asked for them to terminate my lease since I had not had the chance to officially move in yet, they said no. They said I had to find a replacement tenant or else they wouldn't end my lease. Even though I am across the country, I posted my listing on every possible website I could AND hired a broker. They know that no one wants to rent now so they put it on me to find someone knowing it is impossible, especially since coordinating house showings is incredibly difficult from across the country. I then started posting on twitter reaching out to legislatures about my case and telling everyone about how they have been responding to my case and a women named Margaret (I believe that was her name) called me saying I have been "trashing" them online... it is not "thrashing" to tell the world about how you respond to tenants during COVID-19. She also told me that I could just fly to NY if I can't stay in California and pay rent in NY, she said that my only problem was that I just "don't way to fly". Excuse me? GOVERNORS ARE TELLING PEOPLE TO SHELTER IN PLACE. You honestly think that you collecting rent money is an "essential" reason for me to put myself and everyone around me (including the residents of 455 West 37th street) at risk by flying across the country for no good reason? The only reason I would be doing this is because YOU ARE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO STAY IN CALIFORNIA BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD TO. Shame on you. Shame on TFC.

TFC was great in the beginning, but once you sign your lease and live there, they treat you like second class citizens. The buildings are outdated, mismanaged and the owners and money-hungry crooks who will do anything to save a penny. For the price, you can do a lot better. Save your money and aggravation and go to another manager.

The Front desk is totally irresponsible for the young tenant. My son who is only 11 forgot to take his key and locked himself out of the apartment while I went to my college at evening 6:00. My son looked for help to the front desk, but they refused to open the door for him and didn’t give me a call to confirm. They just left him alone in the lobby until I found him myself at 9:00pm before I tried to call 911. How could these people be so cold to children?

Took me to 5 different menus, left a voicemail explaining the issue I’m going thru and yet didn’t receive a call back

TFC creates beautiful living environments and the staff onsite is so friendly and professional. HOWEVER, the TFC management team has been absolutely terrible to work with. TERRIBLE. They lack any semblance of customer forward thinking or responsiveness and are a complete disaster when it comes to conflict resolution. I would not recommend trying to raise any concerns if you decide to live in any of their units. They will do nothing to aid in support of your inquiry.

Building worker came into our room without a permission when we are not at home in order to fix a/c. My room didn't have any problem, but he came in and put dirt on my mat.

The building is good but there are people smoking in the apartment building which ruin everything. The hallways often stink of tobacco or marijuana smoke. The staff never responded fast enough which doesn’t resolve the issue. I can also hear through the floor. I currently wouldn’t recommend this building nor have extensions of renewing my lease if this doesn’t change.
