I shipped my book almost 3 weeks ago. I have not received any feedback concerning the status of the book. I chose the check option, because I don’t have paypal. I asked when the check would be here and still haven’t gotten a response. Not saying this is a bad company, but if we had better communication it would be a lot better. If anything changes I will update my review.

Notice: We respect our customers and will gladly work with you to resolve any issues you might have. That said, unfortunately, we no longer respond to issues created on TrustPilot. This is not a dismissal of your issue. Why have we chosen to do this? TrustPilot is dependent upon an unethical scheme to trap businesses into paying them money. Generally speaking, mostly upset customers will seek out a platform like TrustPilot. This then leads to overwhelmingly negative reviews for a particular website. TrustPilot then calls the business and requests to be paid for “help” to increase their TrustPilot score. What this means is that most businesses with high TrustPilot scores have probably paid TrustPilot to solicit reviews. We believe that this is unethical on both ends. The initial low score is a misleading trap that forces business to pay to get out of it. The businesses that do pay are then buying positive reviews. We serve tens of thousands of customers per year, and we believe the small number of reviews on TrustPilot are not representative of the experiences of the vast majority of our customers. Unfortunately, we are not willing to pay the troll in order to make our TrustPilot score reflect that. I have a real issue: how can I get it resolved? Our hope is that you will first contact us through our website. We have a customer service team that will do their best to resolve the issue for you. If you are still unsatisfied, and would prefer third-party dispute resolution, we would suggest using the Better Business Bureau. They take a far more fair and ethical approach to dispute mediation when compared to schemes like TrustPilot.

Accused me of sending them two counterfeit books and won't return them.
Response from Textbook ManiacOct 10, 2019
I don't think you knew they were counterfeit when they were sold to you, so we are not accusing you of selling counterfeit books, but we have an obligation to the publisher not to allow counterfeits to continue in circulation. I apologize.

It’s been 3 weeks since I shipped my order. It barely got processed a week ago, and I still haven’t gotten paid despite them stating that it takes 5 business days to get paid via PayPal (which is the option I chose). Checked my order status this morning, and it says to contact customer. After reading the horrible reviews I have no doubt in my mind that they are going to try and completely change my quote ... if and when they do contact me. Just the fact that they copy and paste their customer replies is enough to let me know that this company isn’t worth doing business with. I will update my review if anything changes.

Kim, I am sorry you are not satisfied with the amount of time it is taking to process your order, but since there was something wrong with your book, it was flagged by our quality control team so that we could contact you about it, which makes the process take longer than just receiving and paying for a book. Please update, as you said you would, when you have been paid.

I mailed my books in to Textbook Maniac about a week and a half ago. They were delivered to them exactly 8 days ago, and despite their claim that you're paid within 5 days of receipt I have yet to be paid for them. I sent them a message that was supposed to responded to "within 24 hours" according to the company, and it was not responded to within that time frame, or even at all. I am very disappointed by their lack of responsiveness and would not recommend them to anybody I know.

We received the book on October 24th and we stated 5 business days. Which would be today. We should be able to complete this order today. We are running a couple of days behind normal. Sorry for the confusion.

My preferred seller is amzn. Since they were not accepting couple of my books, I had to use this vendor. After receiving the book, they said 'water damage' and reduced the price by 57%. We do not have a choice as we need to pay for shipping to get the book back. That may not be worth sometimes. Once I accepted their reduced price, they paid it promptly.

We always offer ways of getting your book back. We only ask for return shipping, because we paid for a good condition, valid, copy of the book to be sent to us. Thanks
